then why not invest in the champion trout is, this is why boxing is loosing its definition. i dont care how a person looks.. this is boxing.. and alvarez should be fighting everybody like how trout should be fighting everybody..

 

whats probably going to happen now is that during the cotto/canelo press conference legit jmw's vanes, lara and trout will all be there calling out little canelo and even using profanities such as puto and maricon to get the fight.

the ducking and cherry-picking is getting that bad.

i dont think that in the history of the entire sport has a champion ever fought two guys on two sepearate occasions coming off two consectutive losses with one not beign a rematch.

People are acting as if Cotto is a bad fight for Alvarez, fact is, it is a huge step up from what he is used to.

Alvarez has done nothing to suggest he can hang with Trout, so why are people making a case for Trout to angle for Alvarez?

 

You think Canelo gives Floyd a hard fight? Seriously? Based on what?

Apparently beating Proksa is enough to get him a fight against Martinez

 

Not based so much on what Canelo has done, but more on what Floyd lacks at 154. Especially with Floyd's inactivity.
I'm not advocating the thought that Canelo deserves the shot at Floyd, which he doesn't any more than Trout deserves Canelo. Based on what we've seen from Floyd at that weight, I'd say Canelo could be dangerous.
Canelo vs Trout makes a lot more sense business wise and all though.

 

Dunno why would anyone wanna see Cotto v Canelo? Cotto's last performance was embarrassing.

Canelo v Trout is the fight that needs to be made.

 

If that big fight were Martinez I could see that. But Canelo has not had a big fight yet either. Boxing really has diminished lately.

Not surprised to see promoters shameless all the way now. I'm surprised he didn't end that ridiculous statement with "Cotto's loss is good enough for Canelo."

 

Point is, Canelo needs a proper career before aiming for money only fights. He hasn't done ANYTHING worth noting in this sport and already he's cashing out. Look at current established fighters like Mayweather, Pacquiao, Martinez and Ward. These guys went through all serious opposition before starting to pick money fights, hell Pacquiao is STILL going through serious opposition even when he doesn't need to anymore. Canelo is being overprotected because GBP doesn't have enough in its stable.

 

Cotto's performance wasn't embarrassing, give credit to Trout for making him look bad rather than placing the blame on Cotto as if he intentionally lost. Cotto gave it his all, opened up and tried everything he could yet Trout continued to counter all of that. Regarding Canelo, his division is stacked yet he's making it look like there are only bums and fighters coming off losses worth fighting.
