By spoilers I mean fighters who hit and hold a lot. A perfect example would be Ruiz.

Jones beat Ruiz in a dominant fashion, BUT Ruiz was not allowed to hit and hold

I noticed that Hagler wrestled his way out of Duran's clinches and pushed him back to get punching room.

Roy Jones jr vs Bernard Hopkins 1.
Not only does Hopkins hit and hold, he hits behind the head, headbutts and hits low as well and Roy Jones jr still beat him with a broken hand.

    Mayweather beating Hatton.

Hatton was always punch and grab, punch and grab.

Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios defeated Richard Abril on scores of 7-5 and 8-4 from wise and experienced judges Roth and Trowbridge, winning "the fight instead of the boxing match" (™ expert on boxing scoring "Hermit").

Hatton was not really a spoiler, he would clinch and throw shots breaking out of it. He was never in a dull fight, ever.

I think that headbutt was accidental.
I wouldn't really class it as a dominant win for Jones either. I thought Jones deserved to win, but not by the margin the judges had.

The word accidental and Hopkins don't go together.
    Hopkins is a cheater

No it's not, "elbows" Mayweather is one of the dirtiest fighters around. He's a master of it.

    It looked accidental to me.
He was obviously intentionally headbutting during his fight with Mercado, Calzaghe, Taylor etc

Well does a a spoiler beating a spoiler in dominant fashion count?

It's still a bad example anyway as that disgrace Joe Cortez was so one-sided.
