If Floyd Mayweather Jr fought in the 80's, he'd be one of the FAB. It'd be the Fab 5

If he fought them he would Benitez fought 3 of the 4. Hearns,Duran and Leonard, but never fought Hagler, so there is not a fab 5. And Mayweather will not fight Pacman, so how would he get in that group? To be in that group you have to be willing to fight them all and take a chance of losing, and Floyd doesn't do that. So he would not be in that group. and Wilfred fought 3 of the 4. Cuevas fought 2 of the 4-Duran and Hearns and is not in the group.

he'd retire before they even mention him being part of the fab 5.
he would have them under olympic style drug testing before he fights.

Cherry picking Floyd now is making 50M dollars for 1 fight. Floyd of the early 2000s would fight anyone. He was calling out welters like Shane and Oscar before he fought at 140. Dude wanted to be paid. He'd have fought his own mother if it meant 8 figures.

Mayweather has the talent to compete and beat any of the Fab 4. Too bad he wasn't born earlier.

IF Floyd's mom had a *****, she would be his dad. I already knew where this thread was headed.

Floyd wouldn't fight any of them, and if he did he'd lose badly.

Floyd is 35 at welterweight. those dudes were in their early twenties at welterweight. peole dont seem to understand floyd shouldnt even be fighting at ww. Just like zab being 35 at 140. he didnt belong there in his prime. if he had gone to the lower weights like floyd he would have had a better career.

Duran was washed up for 90% of the 1980s.

Floyd don't have to balls to fight any of them. He'll probably retired the moment any of them call him out.

The only guy i can think of is Casamayor and there was no money in it. If Casamayor had a big fanbase and could get Floyd 7 figures, the fight would have happened. No problem.

If we're talking fab 4's nowhere as good as the original, how about Castillo/Corralles/Casamayor/Mayweather

If Floyd and Casamayor had fought, of course.

Of course, let's throw in cotto and castillo to make it the fab 7, since they are all so competitive .

No he wouldn't because he never would have fought any of them until the early 90's so no one would remember him.

mayweather wouldve lost to all these guys at 147 except for maybe duran. never wouldve made it to 160 to fight hagler.

in fact, he wouldve asked for 90 percent of the purse and last minute drug-testing against every one of them so he wouldve never fought any of these guys. he wont even fight a 5'5" pac so what the **** would he do with sugar ray and hearns? those guys were killers. floyd ducked margo as well.

no, floyd would go on vacation.

he was damn good at 130-140 though. he and a prime chavez or tszyu wouldve been great

    floyd mayweather.

    right time, right place.
