Its nice to actually see a fighter that has a bit of success and don't let it affect he personality or forget his humble roots, too many fighters nowadays turn in to Bertie big bollocks and end up a patronizing tosser.

    Well done Ricky.

That takes me back to my younger days too, Dunks. I didn't quite make it as far as a sports shop, but i did do bits and bobs in an off license at weekends back in the day.

I will never forgive myself on getting this poor fella hooked on Camal cigs. He was a first timer and asked for my advise on which brand...Instead of telling him they cause premature death, i shamefully went to salesman mode and offered my unsolicited, and usually erroneous, advice.

He looked like an Arab gentlemen so i hastly picked up the Camals. I had a bit of a gob on me back then, so i went on.

I told him...Sir, from experience, these will forever hold a mystical place in your soul. The fact that they have an camel on the packet makes these perfect for animal lovers and Arabs alike. I am in the first camp, but i can tell you from the first inhalation these charming cigs made me feel like i was in the latter.

They blend a fine combination of sand and mud into a mysteriously dusty flavor, and the mundane scene of waiting for a bus or staring at your friend’s relatively unattractive face over a pint fades away as you inhale deeper. By the time you exhale you’re standing in Giza, and your friend has become Princess Jasmine.

Hook, line and sinker. He was sold and never looked back.

I've never forgiven myself. The lesson? You work in a corner shop. Don't presume that imparts upon you any actual knowledge or authority.

Oh how i wish i'd stayed in my basement in my undies that morning. Eating my Cheerios, and letting the adults make the world go round.

Bit of top spin there, Dunky. Mi ole mucker. Jacobs put up a brave effort, but we can't class that as a knockdown. Jacobs didn't touch Pernell. Pete swang wildly with a left, missed the target and the momentum caused him to go off balance and to the canvas.

A sad state of affairs when someone gets mocked for doing an honest days work. Good luck to Ricky.

Yota Sato (WBC super flyweight champion) works part-time at a petrol station and has done so for 10 years.

If it isn't affecting their boxing preparation, then I don't see the problem. It certainly shouldn't be looked at in a negative light that they're doing these jobs.
