    With 122 being a deep division at the top, it will be interesting to see what Top Rank plans over the next 12-18 months for Jesse Magdaleno still only 21.

    Verdejo is sticking a fast left jab in Chavez's face, springing forward on long splayed legs and maintaining his balance. Chavez tries to catch him with a jab while drifting to the ropes. Short combo by Chavez, missing high. Lead rights to the body by Verdejo. HARD clubbing right hand to the head behind a body jab from outside by Verdejo. Chavez extends a slow left jab and circles to either side a few feet. Lunging right hand lead by Verdejo, scoring. Quick left hook by Verdejo, who jitterbugs around Chavez on his slightly bent stilts. Chavez tosses a throwaway right lead into Verdejo's guard.

    Verdejo is throwing some unique combos, high left jabs followed by right sidewinding uppercuts and then a downward-slicing left hook. Chavez tries to push ahead with his jab when Verdejo settles down. Verdejo slaps with a left hook to catch Chavez coming in. Nice quick clapping body shots by Verdejo as Chavez is pressing in. Double jab, right hand by Chavez stepping forward, blocked. Combo to the body by Verdejo. Right hand over the top and around the back of the gloves by Verdejo. Chavez jabs and gets countered with a jab and lashing right.
