    Damn. The crazy ass good ol' days. Golota was something else. Everytime I watch one of these fights I get transported back to our old apartment watching it on a 90s Hitatchi TV with my dad and all his buddies drinking the night away during the fight and me sitting in front of the TV hoping Endriu doesn't ****ing lose his marbles again. Old times..

    shame that after this fight Golota suffered a serious injury to his left hand in a car accident, and could not use that great jab he once had to it's fullest extent

    I watched the full Golota-Grant fight a couple weeks ago. Golota's last fight of his prime before car accident and last fight under Duva/Bloodworth. Watching his quick stiff jab snap Grant's head back all night was a thing of beauty. So were his straight right hands and combinations.

    After this fight it was nothing but diminishing returns...

    The funny thing is, I just rewatched this and had forgotten that Golota even tried to cheat against Marcus Rhode! :lol:

    In the 3rd round, clearly winning, Golota tried a cheap shot, throwing a right hand punch behind his back when Rhode was almost in a sort of headlock under Golota's other arm! :rofl

    also, in the 1st round, first body shot that Golota landed, Rhodes holds his sides and looking at the ref as if to say "Low blow, man!"

    when will Poland have the next HW just as talented and crazy like Golota??? :bbb

    I also loved that the elastic on Rhode's shorts busted, and they wound up fixing it with what looked like ordinary masking tape. I remember Rhode exclaiming in his corner, "I want to sit!".

    Crazy unusual stuff like that always seemed to happen in Andrew's fights! :rofl

    Golota was truly one of a kind. There will never be another quite like him.

    There are news in polish press that Golota will fight Saleta on February 23rd in Gdansk.
