I would give him another 18 month's of gaining experience before putting him in with Wlad but he's progressing nicely.

I'll bet Banks gives the lanky, clumsy, inexperienced Fury a lesson in how to recover from a brutal knockout.

Think Fury more skilled than the Emanuel Steward trained Banks? I hope you do. Please bet the house on it if it ever happens

Vitali or Vlad would knock Fury or Price out. Steward said Tyson was not ready, he said the same about HBO hype Seth Mitchell!

Fury is the best prospect in the heavyweight division. He's 24 and developing very nicely.

That being said, it really shouldn't be a great accolade to be a "good prospect" in the modern heavyweight division.

You don't see Fury having a chance in a year or so with more seasoning?

I think he poses some problems. Not inconsiderable punching power, heart and chin, decent upper body movement and footwork, improving mentality and fitness...he's 24 years old, can fight on the inside and on the outside.

I wasn't a massive fan of him up until more recently, I liked his patient display against Johnson - showed he could stick to a gameplan.

What's wrong w/the modern HW div? Not dominated by the US :-(

It's the best it's ever been except for those (mostly bigots) that have their knickers twisted in knots.

Tend to agree w/you about Fury - probably better than any US prospect.

Is it? There are two brothers dominating a division without fighting each other. Not only that but they are efficient and effective, they make the most of their physical advantages (particularly Wladimir), but are not exceptional in a historic sense.

As a Brit, obviously its great to have some prospects coming through, but language is not the main factor here. Plenty of fighters go to the US without knowing the language and do fine. To put a blunt point on it, the current champion is quite boring!

Steward said that ages ago when fury was going through depression because he's dad was in prison and his son was in hospital

That fury don't exist no more, he's been replaced with a good one

Fury would be the one knocking banks out.Banks is ok but for **** sake ... KO's a massive hype job in Mitchell (who was ****ing rubbish to begin with) and suddenly he's seen as relevant again? Banks will rematch Mitchell,KO him and probably sail off into the sunset with yet another big payday.
I can't see him being interested in taking on the big boys of the division.

Oh, I see the Bank overhyping is getting out of hand.

Kevin Johnson was trained by Jeff Mayweather and Larry Holmes, and come off a KO of Alex Leapai who's better than Seth Mitchell.

Let's not make that banks "upset" anything more than it is

Banks was easily stopped by Adamek
