Starting with the main event! (Telemundo always does)

 

Round 1

Porras takes small hops in with a tendril right jab. Nieves scissors his legs, moving away, snapping his own right jab and then taking quick lateral steps. Porras dives in with big powerful left hands that double him over from effort. He lands one to the liver and another to the back of the neck. Nieves leaps backward, toward the corner. Porras leans on him, squashing his arms to his chest with his left while slapping the side with his right. Porras presses the advantage on his fellow southpaw, throwing another big diving left hand lead, and runs into a BIG RIGHT HOOK! Porras is badly stunned. Nieves steps to him and unloads several right hooks to the body and head with the left cross behind them, very sharp. A bunch of hooks to the skull, bursting through Porras' guard and sending him into a keel! Another meaty right hook to the head. PORRAS DOWN! He rises but looks dazed. Nievers jabs the body, moving in and out. Jabs and one-twos up top by Nieves. A missed overhand left by Nieves causes them to slam together chest to chest in a brief clinch. The Porras right jab is pushed out, not snapped, and giving Nieves plenty of time to react and counter. Nice right hook to the jawline by Nieves. Porras tries to propel himself in with jabs to the body, but Nieves is leaning back and making him miss, using excellent footwork to stay offline with his lead foot outside of Porras'. Wild morningstar lefts by Porras, missing. They wrestle a bit as Porras marches inside. Scrappy infighting.

Round 2

High long jab by Nieves. Quick double jab by Nieves, making Porras squeeze his guard shut and slow his advance while Nieves circles to leave him at disadvantageous angles. Porras walks into a few jabs to the kisser trying to simply overpower Nieves with a repeated jab/overhand left combo. Nieves rolls under it and grabs Porras by the ropes. Porras curls his left arm around Nieves' throat until the referee separates them. Nieves lets Porras menace him toward the ropes with the push-jab out of a hyperactive side-to-side weave. Nieves smoothly evades and counters accurately with his jab to the face. Porras comes lunging with a circuitous 3-2 that leaves his face exposed and feet too wide apart, on the verge of doing a split. Nieves leans against the top rope for momentum and boomerangs with an explosive counter right hook to the chin before Porras can lift his fists back up! Porras is down and OUT!! He bolts to his feet but staggers across the ring. Futile gesture; the count was already waived.
