Even if you can watch it in bar, that is a pain in the ass. You got to get there early to get a good seat in front of the TV, and then you got to sit there for hours and deal with all the rest of the people there. And if you drink you will probably wind up spending more money than you would just buying it at home. I love boxing and want to watch every fight that I can, but I am about to start boycotting PPV's and finding a stream or some ****.

That is a good point. I know they used to do that back from the Ali days up to the Tyson days....but they rarely do that anymore. I would love to watch fights on the big screen, and pay a lot less to do so.

Eventually fans will simply quit buying PPV fights, then the price will go down................

That is what I am hoping(for prices to go down) I always hope for any PPV boxing event to do good numbers, but they continue to raise prices and they can't keep ripping the fans off like this.

Not only is it $70 now, but they rarely have good undercard fights on them. If they are going to charge us that much, they should at least have good undercard fights, with named fighters. Mostly they just have people you have never heard of and you just wait for the main event to start that much quicker.

    Stop yer' complaining !

You think it's cheap to pay off three judges, a ref, the HBO commentators, and a state commissioner?

That revenue has to come from SOMEWHERE.

Not every fight ends in a robbery or controversial decision....though we have had a few this year....but those have been around before PPV and I think they will always be there regardless of whether a fight is on PPV or national television

So roughly $25 American. That does suck that you have to either stay up til 5am, or get up super early to see it though. If that was the normal price for the PPV's here in the states, I would buy every one of them. That is a reasonable price.......$70 is just outrageous, especially in this economy.

I used to have poker parties whenever a big fight was on. Figured if I won the poker tourney I was ahead of the game!

Still, I usually got buzzed and lost interest in the game once the fight was on.

Now I watch all the fights with my 3yr old son, but no way I'm paying $70 to watch Pac fight anyone.

As a matter a fact, I can't think of a fight besides Wlad vs. Vitali I'd be willing to pay more than $50 for.

    I sure as **** don't!

I've been trying to get the guys at the gym to have Fight Nights. Bring in a big screen and a keg and charge $10 at the door.

Would be packed and a good time for everyone because the place would be filled with fighters and people interested in the fight.

So far, the gym isn't going for it....

I said I wasn't going to buy this fight since the moment it was announced, but once again I have been suckered in to paying a huge amount to see a fight. Depending on who Mayweather fights next, that will be the last PPV I buy until they lower these outrageous prices.
