I think Smoger Stopped Pavlik-Taylor to fast.

Number one, unified rules says no standing eight count.

Number two, if the referee sees the fighter is clearly out of it, he can stop it without bothering to count.

 

Jermain Taylor wasn't standing

We don't want to see him get punched out either, good call.

 

You can see the end coming minutes before it happens, and I remember his wife, Mother, and sister ringside.... If you watch again you can see the expression on their faces as JT crumbles.

Taylor was doing rope-a-dope in the corner and had Pavlik where he wanted him when Smoger jumped in and stopped it. The fix was in that night.

 

Watch when Jermain is trying to stand up after the fight and he asks his cornermen..."Did I get knocked out?" Yea sure... Definitely stopped too quickly. Riiiiiiiight.

 

It was a good stoppage, he was out standing up! then he fell

 

Smoger did a perfect job that night. He could had easily stopped it in the second but did not.

 

He couldn't have got up by the count of 10 or even twenty once he went down.

 

i felt it weird that he let kelly fight on but then stopped taylor immediately

i guess smoger saw something, could tell kelly could go and taylor couldnt
