Bradley got the decision because he control 2/3 of the fight.

They use a round by round scoring system. Be interested in seeing your scorecard . . .

 

My opinion was for 2 reasons...
#1 They wanted to pass the torch to Bradley, thought he'd be more competitive, and that plan blew up in their face.
#2 They were tired of Pac taking his foot off the gas, showing to much mercy, and simply not being aggressive as he should be. Maybe to reignite his warrior mentality
Look at the Margarito fight. He was basically telling him in the 11th round he was going to let him finish and Marg punched him because of it. JMM he wasn't the same aggressive fighter against him and didn't go for the KO. Bradley who can't punch out of a wet paper bag, and Pac wobbled him a couple times and never really looked like he wanted to get him out of there.

I do beleive it was mainly to bring back a more aggressive Pac. Of course they kind of messed up there split for a potential Mayweather/ Pac fight, but honestly if Pac is to merciful to finish his opponent, takes his foot off the gas, etc no way does he beat Mayweather! So maybe getting robbed will be the best thing for him.

But tbh I feel if that were true, its a pretty stupid reason.

If Pacquiao doesn't have it anymore to go that extra mile and finish him opponent, then so be it. He shouldn't be forced to do anything his body doesn't allow him too. Of course Manny as well as hundreds of other boxers would like to do many things in the ring, but they have to fight with what they have, not what they used to have.

 

Arum doesn't want Pacquiao to fight anyone outside of Top Rank, let alone Floyd. Pacquiao was talking about making more and more concessions to fight Floyd, he was agreeing to pretty much everything that needed to be agreed . . . . then Pacquiao gets jobbed in his next fight.

 

Not sure if he doesn't have it, or just is simply to nice to hurt people. Manny has always been a respectful guy to his opponents, but look at how he walks in against Hatton (like the tazmanian devil). Not the same guy who walked in against Bradley.
Perhaps it's hunger, perhaps it's his religion, etc. Even with all that he has to realize exactly what he says "I'm doing my job.. nothing personal". He has to go out there and win big, look for a KO, and not stay in cruise control. I don't think this was the only reason he got robbed, but I'm sure it's something Arum, roach, etc were not to happy with about him.

 

I personally do believe if Manny still had it in him, he would use his tools to get the job done. He was so viscous against Cotto, Hatton and Margarito. He was also trying to finish Mosley off but Shane just kept running. Times have changed though, Manny doesn't have that same sharp ability anymore.

If anything, Arum and Roach have realised this, especially Arum which is why he's milking Manny for all he can now. Which is also why his next fight wont be against an awkward fighter, but more someone who comes forward and brawls....Bam Bam Rios :thumbsup

Because ARUM is building up Bradley, 2 years from now. for the uncasual fan Bradley still beat Pacquiao. Undefeated always sound better.

 

I thought it was because the judges were pissed at Manny because he made them wait so long before the fight.

 

Finally. That was one of my theories the whole time. I don't know why all these morons are saying that it was some sort of "revenge" for Pac-Marquez.

It also should have cost pac a few points for being late. If you ever fought in the amateurs you know how important a warm up can be. Pac ****ed bradley, he made him warm up, then stay warm for another 30 minutes. He actually had no idea when pac was going to be ready. Pac knew exactly when. Thats a huge advantage in terms of warming up. Really unfair to bradley.

I think its much more likely that Arum realized this generation is coming to a close and it was time to build a new superstar. He told the judges to score things for Bradley if they could, and Manny did better than he expected and the plan backfired. Actually I guess it didn't really backfire because people will still buy fights lol.

I think he got the decision for two maybe three reasons. 1 Pacquiao was victim of past performances and he was judged on that as opposed to what he actually did in the fight. 2. It was an in house fight and the promotor wins either way. And thirdly Maybe Bradley really did beat him.
