True, but he was hurt by no-marks as early in his pro career as Penalosa is now. :good

Vik Drakulich earning his keep tonight.

He's almost done, though - not slated to work on the PPV.

One thing about Penalosa, he hits hard. It will be good to see him come up in the next few years. I hope he does his father proud.

Ramírez has a slew of amateur decorations, including a record six gold medals in the US Nationals.

    Round 1

Ramírez puts in a 1-2, taking it to Seigwarth instantly at the bell. Seigwarth leans back and tries to roll with Ramírez's right hands. Seigwarth turns his back to Ramírez while shifting into reverse. Ramírez is all over him. Drakulich warns Seigwarth for holding. Powerful right hands by Ramírez. A left hook hurts Seigwarth. Ramírez goes a bit wild, trying to smash Seigwarth down. Seigwarth finally goes down from accumulation, with a left hook to the body after a stunning jab to the chin coming as the final straw. He beats Drakulich's count at eight. BIG POWER from Ramírez! Left hooks and overhand rights delivered smoothly and with pummeling intensity. Seigwarth backs into a corner and gets blasted by right hands. Drakulich steps in!

    TKO1!

Considering his age and record, is Ramirez considered the best prospect from the American Olympic team this year?

Wow...two potential stars from this card so far. Ramirez and Penalosa, could be the future.

Yeah, up there if not the most promising.

He was the #1 American lightweight for a long time before turning pro. (obviously still well shy of the best in the world, Vasyl Lomachenko)
