Hyland is trying to drop the right hand to the body, down the center lane. Fortuna is showing him too much movement, pouncing from the outside with his quick left hands and then galloping off to the side to turn Hyland. Up and down warm-ups by Hyland while waiting for Fortuna to settle down. Hyland warned for a shot behind the head. Fortuna puts up the jab and swings high overhead with his left, missing and collapsing into Hyland in a clinch. They trade straight shots at close range until the bell - and Fortuna throws a VERY late one! The ref screams at him to get in his corner, and was perhaps on the verge of disqualifying him before mulling it over a second.

Hyland is backed up to the ropes by a series of hard lefts from Fortuna. Hyland keeps allowing himself to be towed to the ropes, where he does a decent job of blocking and rolling under shots but is permitting Fortuna lots of flashy combos that could be eye-catching to the judges. Fortuna puts up a few quick jabs and then turns over a right hook from underneath, toying with Hyland as he moves in on him. Hyland sticks the jab out of his high guard. NICE right to the body by Hyland, really digging in with a fast snapping motion coming forward. Too little, too late.
