Don't know too much about Gamboa but I know he's pretty damn talented; is he an exciting type of fighter?

 

You guys never stopped up for a PPV before? It's always 5am, and usually later when Pacquiao fights cos he ****s about delaying it for no obvious reason.

 

I know I'm just some dude on the internet shitting on someone who's fighting in a boxing ring, but ****, Vasquez fights like such a *****.

Gesta is absolute garbage. Has no fluidity or foot movement at all. And seemingly not much power. Whats he trying to achieve?

What I don't understand is, what the hell did Gesta prepare for? I expected him to come with high pressure from the get-go.

 

Nothing at all wrong with Vasquez in this fight though, Laz. Hitting and not getting hit, and not as negative as the Quintero fight.

this is the 2nd time ive watched him now. Like the other poster said, this match was pretty early for him.

 

Far too easy for Vasquez. Unless Gesta lands a miracle combo its not looking great. Doesn't seem to know how to change gears, how to cut the ring off, what a jab is, what upper body movement is, or basically any of the fundamentals of boxing.

Yet he has a less than 50% KO ratio despite being so heavy footed. Senseless.

 

I don't disagree, but man, he's just not nice to watch and I don't understand why Gesta is fighting the way he is. Could be because of Vasquez's jab, but ****, I half expected Gesta to get in and do some work, at least.

 

Why would you expect that? This was a nightmare matchup, this is the same Gesta that fought all the ESPN level opposition. Exact same style. Of course you can plod up to them and do what you want, but Vasquez's whole game is based around exploiting his reach and nimble footwork. Gesta needs a miracle punch, which he might yet find, but his approach is all wrong.
