It's so weird how there is zero engagement in Vasquez. It's as if he got brutally sparked out when he was young and just knew from there on that he had to change. The only reason he's getting on TV is because he holds a belt to be honest, otherwise no major networks would ever pick him up.

He's not a puncher Laz, I think its sensible more than anything else. Look at Paulie Malignaggi, he gets busted up often because he stands in front of guys with artillery. When you've got a pistol against shotguns you've got to use the other advantages you have. He could be stepping it up against Gesta though, that much I agree. Gesta is basically a punch bag.

 

Yeah I see that. All about perspectives, I guess. It works for him, sure, but for entertainment value you wouldn't go for Vasquez, unless you really appreciate a purist of his style.
