Thought Deano was unlucky- Jones really should have been docked a point.

O'Kane- can't expect him to bulldoze through opponents at a decent level. He got exposed but there are still plenty of fights there for him.

Magee- boxed well in the 1st, then got caught and hurt in the 2nd and for some reason tried to be offensive instead of tucking his elbows in and taking it easy for a few rounds. Still got a big payday against DeGale/Groves to come

Pajo is putting on a great display, fair play. Fortuna is dirty little ****
Should have been docked a couple o points no matter the result
    Pajos stock has risen

Very proud of hyland. No one gave him a shot, and he made it very competitive. If he just had a bit more power.

Sorry lads I'm not seeing it. Fortuna was at 10% and Hyland boxed out of his skin and still lost a wide decision on my card.

Fair play to him for stepping it up with his big chance though. He gave it all he had. Unfortunately it wasn't close to being good enough. EBU might be the route to go for him. He can probably win a real title that way and establish himself again for some paydays

great effort by Byrne, maybe Magee should pack it in after a decent career and O'Kane was wild as pointed out earlier.

Patrick Hyland gave a great account of himself tonight and with what Bam Bam who has never given any of the Hyland any praise whatsoever to say Fortuna only gave it 10% must of been watching a different fight to everyone else. you go onto top ranks Twitter page and see a quote from Fortuna saying he gave it his all and expected to blow Pajo out in a few rounds and said it was a real tough fight and praised Pajo to the highest extent, But i hear a rematch could be on the cards with the antics between the two after the fight (not been biased) but yous might not see it but from i was hearing from ringside is that Fortuna really disrespected Pajo in the after fight interview and said it was an easy fight and that he was nothing but a journey man that got a "rocky style shot" at the big time and blew his chances and thing got more heated than the weigh-in and the fight itself, But Pajo been Pajo gave Javier Fortuna all the credit he deserved after winning the (IMO A VERY CONTRAVERSIAL DECISION) Fight and said fair Fair Play to him and hopes a rematch can be arranged as he thinks he opened up new doors for him self.
Hopefully Brian Peters can arrange the few bob to get a world title fight in Dublin with a rematch vs Fortuna or even Billy Dibb. Surely after that preformance Pajo has gained a few more fans and showed he is not just a boxer who has beaten bums. I think Pajo Hyland can be Irelands next world Champion before April/May next year, Either in the o2 in Dublin or Main event to MacklinvLee in thormond park, Limerick on Paddys Day, 2 world title fights, surely RTE would take it or Sky Sports, even Primetime. Even Wayne McCullagh had it close to 116-113 or 114 i think he said to fortuna.. RANT OVER. I HOPE PEOPLE DONT LASH ME NOW OVER THIS SAYING IM BIASED.

I've been watching Fortuna for nearly 2 years the kid is exceptionally talented he didn't look himself last night but a lot of that was down to Pajo so credit must be given

Pajo kept it nice and tight kept his concentration nicked a few rounds as well

He managed to make fortuna look ordinary at times and must be given credit for that he wont come across much bigger tests than Fortunal at Featherweight as the division is at the moment. All in all I'm Happy with what I saw from Pajo and Hopefully this will open the door for more fights for him

well said paddy only seen fight from 5th round onwards when pajo was having his most success but delighted for him he proved himself against a world class fighter and 12 rounds against a guy like that will give him huge confidence and experience so he can only get better from here on in.
