On the main card, that is?

    Bendo

    Gustafsson

    MacDonald

    Brown

I like to see the Henderson-Pettis rematch if Pettis beats Cerrone.

Wouldn't mind Gustafsson vs the Hendo-Machida winner, for a crack at Jones after he dispatches Sonnen.

MacDonald-Condit rematch seems the natural fight. And I think that MacDonald beats him as well.

And I'm undecided about Matt Brown's next fight. I always figured him for a journeyman gatekeeper type, a "can his opponent cut it in the UFC" type fighter. But he put in by far the best performance I've ever seen from him, and it seems he deserves some kind of step up in comp. He's on a four-fight win streak with three finishes and tonight's fight was his most impressive, so he probably deserves a chance against a contender. :smoke

Agree with MacDonald and Bendo but not sure about the Gustafsson vs Hendo/Machida, just seems like it gets rid of another challenger and if Jones is planning on hanging around at the weight for a bit no point rushing through them too fast.

I agree with all. If Glover beats Rampage, that is another possibility for Gus. I don't know if Rampage still plans on leaving the UFC win or lose, so I don't know if he's a possibility.

As for Matt Brown, maybe someone like Mike Pierce. Bahadurzada needs an opponent. Would be a fun ass fight, too.

    It's a valid point. :good

Still not quite sold on Gustafsson though. And Jones won't be fighting Chael until April 27, so it's a looong time for Gustafsson to sit on the shelf. If Jones didn't have a fight lined up I'd say yeah, throw Gustafsson in there. But I don't like him to sit around inactive for most of a year. He's a young guy, a loss to Hendo or Machida wouldn't be a disaster for his career. :smoke

And Machida and Hendo fight in February, so that isn't too far away. If Hendo wins that one, that would be a very good win for him. I wouldn't be opposed to him getting the title shot that he was signed for not long ago off the back of beating Machida. :good

Still leaves Gustafsson out in the cold though. :conf

Who do you like for Matt Brown? He actually looks like he's putting things together in there. :think

Yeah, Glover would be a good match for Gustafsson I reckon. Still think that Gustafsson is one fight away from sealing his #1 contender status and stamping himself as a true threat for Bones. :good

And Brown is fun to watch whoever he fights. He's got an iron chin and he always fights balls out. Looks like he's really been working hard on his skills too. :smoke

Gus said in the post fight presser that he doesn't want to wait around too long. He wants to stay active, and he will take another fight before getting a shot.

Good to hear. Sounds like he knows that time is on his side and he's only getting better. Great attitude that he wants to go out and fight to solidify his status, rather than sit on his ass and wait for a shot to be handed to him. :yep

Rory won't fight GSP and if he beats Hendricks then GSP loses a challenger.

Next person Rory needs to meet is a charisma coach. He has none.

What does Rory do if GSP wants to fight for another 3 years?

Admittedly I think he will be saved from facing that problem after Nick Diaz retires GSP, but still.

That's clearly bull****, but if so, what does Rory do if GSP wants to keep fighting for a few more years and doesn't lose his title?

Does Rory just cool his heels for 3 years?
