So who will win Marquez vs Pacquiao 5?

Manny is at a point where he will keep getting worse, and to be honest JMM had a great win tonight, but he has not had the brutal schedule of Manny the last 5 years. JMM looks like he will beat Manny from now on since he has declined less than Manny.

 

JMM has not declined and Manny has. So he will be favored. He benefitted from a fighter diminishing, but he still won. I give him credit.

 

Pac did not seem like he wanted the next fight. And come on man. the fights are getting worse and worse as they go on. I think it is time for them to go their separate ways.

 

Marquez would not choose to fight him a fifth time. He just had the greatest victory of his career and another victory against Pacquiao wouldn't be as glorifying as tonights.

I'm pretty sure Marquez isn't hurting for money too.

 

Pacman's schedule for the last 4 years has been one top fighter after another. Mosley,Delahoya,Cotto, Margarito. etc. JMM on the other hand has had lightweight guys and tuneups and then Pacman. Manny wore out.

He is damn near 40, anytime you beat a guy at that age who is more than 5 years younger, you aren't allowed to say the younger guy was on the decline. Pac lost because he isn't as smart as Marq, nothing to do with a declining body. He can still throw bombs and move around. If anything you could say Marq was more powerful, by training harder.

 

Well since Marquez can apparently hurt Pacquiao with every shot he throws now , who knows. I can see either guy getting KO'd. Marquez looked like he was on his way to getting stopped before he landed that big punch. Honestly, I don't wanna see either guy laying on the canvas again. They are so past their primes, it's sad to watch.

 

Uh, why is it even being talked about? Are we gonna start calling for Vazquez-R. Marquez 5 too? JMM has beaten Pac convincingly two times in a row. That's more than enough to close the book on their story. Pac can try to rule 140. Great fights there.

 

You must be some fan of manny. That's admirable. However, Many has not declined as much as you are suggesting. I personally think he looked good against Marquez today minus the KD's as he was winning the fight and had Marquez in trouble in the 6th, looked like he was going to get that KO. I thought he looked really good against Marquez in the 3rd fight, he had good defense, didn't lunge in as much either, just looked confused sometimes when it came to getting to marquez more. He looked good against bradley too, his defensive really was good in those fights. This fight, however, he seemed to want to be like his old aggressive self where he eats punches. He was vintage manny almost, just he got caught with something terrible.

To suggest that Marquez has not declined, at the age of 39 is absolutely ridiculous. its just that marquez has manny down to a science.

everyone is different about aging. Why did Hopkins beat Jones when he was 44 and Jones was younger? Styles make fights. Pacman declined more than JMM. He had a very hard schedule. JMM never could have fought Cotto,Margarito,Delahoya and Mosley and Clottey and Hatton etc. I think he woud have lost to Margarito,Delahoya and Mosley. Maybe even Clottey. Cotto is pickem

 

It wasnt every shot, it was only two shots that hurt pac visibly. Maruqez has hurt pac before in their first fight and second definitely. The 3rd fight Pac actually had decent defense, look at his face after the fight.
