by saying that one punch can change a fight, he is trying to comfort himself and kinda tell the fans, "look we are all susceptible to KOs". But he needs to understand not everyone is equally suscetible. his fragile mandible would be decimated by that shot.

What could Khan have said that wouldn't have been subliminal?

I'm sorry if my opinion upset you.

See jeromejones's comment, he explained it better than I could.

I think Khan knows he can't take a punch. Thats why he left Roach. He knew he isn't and will never be a Pacquiao. He can't go toe to toe with lowered gloves (although didn't work out for Pacman last night :(). Khan needs to slip, use his speed and emmulate Mayweather or Ward if he wants to improve, and I think that's what he's doing now.

You're right. He's actually surpassed Pacquiao in terms of achievements in correlation to age. Khan was a silver medallist at the Olympics, World Champion in his early 20's. When did Manny start fighting decent opposition? Oh, and Khan hasn't padded his record with weight drained fighters. Pacquiao is good, but that's all he will ever be. I think people are taking what Khan said WAY out of context.

1 punch is all it takes to change a match or cause an upset. Duran/Hearns, Martinez/Williams, Bailey/Jones, douglas/tyson, Hatton/Mayweather, Rahman/Lewis, RJJ/Tarver, Foreman/Moorer, Barkley/Hearns, and the list goes on. That is what he was aiming at, not all this stupid deep psychological stuff that everyone else thinks that he means through a short twitter sentence.

I think you're the one taking what I said out of context. How was me saying that Khan will never be able to fight like Pacquiao coming off like I think Pacquiao isn't great? Khan has dont nothing compaired to what Pac has done. I'm a big fan, but what Khan was doing was training with the least defensive team and trying to fight like Pacquiao. Pac had a great chin while Khan has a terrible one. He cant continue fighting like that, made the adjustment and parted ways with that team, and has since joined one that would suit his natural abilities down to the ground. He knows himself and understands all of his flaws aswell as his talents.
