I have always felt PAC was blown up on PEDS. How can anyone start at 107 lb. then move into eventually 147 and become a feared devastating puncher? A little like Barry Bonds methinks-whatever its onto politics in the Philapines
Then if you examine ALL of those wins you see that they look much more competitive to a casual fan than a real Boxing fan. Pac cherry picked his entire career. This time he bit a pit. Granted, he was boxing a good fight right up until he was starched. :yep
Marquez was on his way to winning the sixth. The fight would have been even if Pac didn't face plant Marquez's right hand.
All I know id Floyd is the happiest man in the world today, his ducking of Pac was epic and it looks like it finally payed off.
Bro, if Pac has cherry-picked, then so has Floyd and just about any other fighter currently operating.
******ed thread. Pacquiao is a top20 Atg who is clearly no longer at his peak and lost to another atg
Nonsense, one punch can change everything katsidis almost Ko'd JMM there's a fine line in the sport of boxing sometimes.

I'm assuming you're a Mayweather fan. Not because this is in a way an anti-Pacquiao thread, but based on your view of how Pacquiao fights. Mayweather is one of the most technical and scientific boxers of all time, and that's probably why you are such a big fan. Pacquiao is on the complete other end of the scale. He's a fighter, running off of heart and the crowd etc. He might make what people call 'mistakes', but thats how he fights. His hand speed is amazing, he has serious knockout power, that punch aside, a great chin. All of that is enough for me to think he's a great fighter. You have him on a slope now because he has faught against guys that arent flattering to his style, but stick him in there with Canelo or Ortiz and you'd see a "prime" Pacquiao reappear and look better in every aspect. Also, in this fight I was impressed by his intelligence in the fight. He really studied the last encounter and his own head movement made the playing field even for how slick and defencive JMM is. Thats something he hadent shown before so he is still improving and adapting towards the end of his career, another great aspect. He might not be the most closed up technically solid boxer ever, but his heart and nartual abilities as a fighter makes him every bit as great as people hold him. Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Forman etc. would all make mistakes that other fights don't make these days, but like Pacquiao they went in to fight and give it their all, and like Pacman, it usually paid off.
how come there hasnt been another fighter in history to win a flyweight championship (112 pounds) and about 7 or 8 weight divisions on up to junior middle by cherry picking and beating up bigger guys each time he advanced up the ladder? what a dumb **** you prove to be over and over. go worship your coward chicken mayweather, the guy has no balls. :hi:
ohh yea Pacquiao is past his prime alright(33 years old) and Marquez is young kid in his prime (39 years old) *******s are soo tards.:bart:bart
His level of opposition is at least as good as Mayweather's. If he was cherry picking I don't think he'd choose the guy who's given him some of his hardest fights. As far as his skill level, it doesn't really matter if you out-skill someone or knock them out through sheer physicality.
