At 39, JMM is another ageless wonder. He has transcended all of his contemporaries - such as MAB, Morales, Medina, etc. He is now IMO one of the Mexico's all-time top ten fighters. In no particular order: Ricardo Lopez Miguel Canto Ruben Olivares Jose Beccerra Carlos Zarate Salvador Sanchez Vicente Saldivar Julio Cesar Chavez Pipino Cuevas Juan Manuel Marquez Now what's next? 1) NO Mayweather rematch. 2) NO Manny fifth fight. 3) Stay at 140. 4) Fight a couple of solid pretenders to keep busy. 4) Fight Danny Garcia in Mexico City for HUGE payday! 5) Retire
Bradley, or Danny Garcia... Rios shouldnt get the fight, doesn't even have a belt, and still pissed about the cuban fight.
But the biggest payoff would come from a showdown in MC. No way Bradley would fight him there. Garcia on the other hand probably would agree to.
1. Sanchez (Gomez, Nelson) 2. Chavez (Taylor, Camacho) 3. Marquez (Beat Pacquiao 3 outta 4 times and most convincing win to date between them) 4. Saldivar (Laguna, Ramos) 5. Olivarez (Chacon, Rose, Castillo) I think Jmm has no time to waste against fighters not on Manny's level. Both Jmm and Manny deserve a 5th fight against each other and then retire. The $$$ is there, but no more crumbs for Marquez he deserves at least $10-15 million per fight. If not Manny, then Bradley or Garcia. He shouldnt fight for more than 2 fights tops. He reached his goal of clearly beating Pacman it wont matter if Pacman avenges his loss you can't for more from a 39 yr old dynamo.
1. Julio Cesar Chavez 2. Salvador Sanchez 3. Carlos Zarate 4. Finito Lopez 5. Ruben Olivares 6. Vicente Saldivar 7. Jose Napoles *Cuban born* 8. Erik Morales 9. Juan Manuel Marquez 10. Marco Antonio Barrera
whats next, retirement to end an amazing career on the most incredible victory of his life. I have a feeling that won't happen. If it doesn't, Mayweather at 147 and call it a day regardless of the outcome.
JMM deserves a shot at his 5th world title. Both Bradley & JMM deserve the payday that came with beating Manny. Now Arum!!! **** you & pay them. The Manny "Methos" is ova! Does Bobby remember when he promised them both shots @Pac to sign with his company??
On resume alone or skills? On resume.. 1. Salvador Sanchez 2. JMM 3. Erik Morales 4. Chavez/Barrera 5. Lopez On Skills 1. Ricardo Lopez 2. Marquez 3. Chavez 4. Sanchez 5. Barrera/Morales
I don't think we could really disagree more when it comes to rating these guys' abilities, Dan. 1. Julio Cesar Chavez 2. Salvador Sanchez 3. Marco Antonio Barrera 4. Juan Manuel Marquez 5. Erik Morales
You think all these people have more skills than Ricardo Lopez? Sanchez was still young when he died, so I don't really rate his skills too highly. But even though Lopez's was in a weight class which all the fighters had the body of a 9 year old boy.. you can't deny his skills..
Apologies. I forgot to list Ricardo Lopez. He was at tremendous talent, granted, it's just a shame he didn't move up to Light Flyweight whilst both Carbajal and Gonzalez were still campaigning. We could have seen some competitive fights.
