How did Mikkel Kessler look?

The first time he went downstairs against Magee you could tell it would be a short nights work for Kessler, it was a mis-match if you ask me. He hurt Magee with literally every body shot he threw, and Magee had no answer once he knew Kessler could hurt him.

As for becoming a force at 168 again, well he has the WBA strap now, whatever that actually means considering Ward also has the same strap. A re-match with Froch is almost a given so it all depends on the outcome of that really.

 

After the first (feelout round), he put the hammer down on Mr Magee and dropped him hard twice with hurtful bodyshots.
Early in the 3rd he nailed poor Brian again to the body, and that was it. (KO3)

Very impressive performance.

 

Theres been no threads about Kessler.
I thought he was in top form. Dropped Magee a bunch of times. Think he woulld of put Bute away aswel. A Froch rematch is mouthwatering.

 

Kessler looked better than what he did against Green.. His accuracy looks better than what it did in 09/10, he has probably lost some speed, but the power is still there.. His offense looks a bit more varied with Montaya.
Overall he has probably slipped a little since his 05-07 days, but he is a tough veteran with power and accuracy, nobody should take him lightly

Magee has a glass body. Bute exposed this, and Kessler took advantage. I figured Mikkel would win a UD or late TKO, but this was impressive.

 

He looked sharp, but then he was fighting Brian Magee so it didn't tell us much. He looked better than he did against Bhouadla and Allen Green, I still think Froch will take him in the rematch and Kessler know it

 

Kessler looked confident and strong. Magee is not a worldbeater, but no pushover. Kessler - Froch ll would be great for boxing and a real war, but Kessler still edges Froch.

thought he looked pretty good. would prefer kessler to fight ward next because froch and kessler are gonna slug the **** outta each other in another career shortenning brawl and then ward will sweep up the corpse of the winner in oakland.
