40 rounds of which he won about 30 of them, before decapitating said opponent

Struggled with Past it Cassamyor then blow's Manny away 3-4 years later when he failed to do it over 36 rounds in the past.

Posts like this are what I relish. Not only in Classic as they are more frequent but in general. Well done.

6 yrs his elder at a weight he never looked impressive at.(3rd was at 144 which is impressive he looked great at 144 and 147 though against a recognisable rival)

He still knocked them out and beat Manny at a weight Manny was suppose to be more comfortable out.

    :deal Correct.

Yeah he's got to be considered top 100 now. What a fight saturday by the way, reallly wanted Manny to win and im avoiding GF for a few days but it was well worth staying up for.
I think Manny should hang them up now.

    I'm still numb with shock:|

But saying that i've always been a massive fan of JMM & now at last he has stepped out of the shadows of MAB & Eric.

I don't think Manny will want to hang them up yet & end his career on a Hattonesque note, it's all down to whether Marquez will risk his legacy in a 5th fight which again is gonna be 50/50.

He's climbed the mountain! But will JMM risk falling off the summit! Expect the challenge to come out soon, it'll be a PPv blockbuster & Arum will bait the hook plenty.

There is nowhere for Marquez to get that kind of money except with Pacquiao. Unless he fights Mayweather again.

he has a very solid resume but it's not quite ATG stuff

putting Bradley on it wouldn't change that either

It's the perfect moment to draw the curtain

  13. Hall of Famer yes. ATG? That doesn't get handed out unless it's something very special.

Does he compare with Duran? Robinson? Louis? Armstrong? Pep? Ali?

    No.

I never did come back to this thread.

    It's beyond doubt for me.

Atg featherweight plus ruled the sfw and lw divisions.

Considering Floyds exile I have jmm as number 1 ww now as well.

    Atg without doubt.
