Alternatively, Mayweather won every single round against a guy that Pacquiao struggled against in 4 fights and ultimately ended up knocked out.

If you think a 5th fight is going to break records and whatever you're clearly ******ed and you are the one not worth talking to. You are trying to somehow spin Manny's near death experience as some sort of indictment of PBF. The fact of the matter is that Floyd sonned the cat who damn near killed Manny, deal with that **** and stop with the idiotic threads.

That is a possible alternative hypothesis.

There is one huge problem with it, though.

Boxing is not a sport where cowardice or the appearance of cowardice is rewarded by fans. Which is why Floyd went to talk to Fight Hype to try to play Pac down now. He knows what this means for him, and so the Floyd Media, including on the internet, is in panic mode. They are trying to get ahead of the story, the fallout.

It's too late, though. Damage is done, and will get a lot worse for Floyd.

You don't understand promotion, that seems clear.

Hey, whatever you think, man. It's your world!

The only reason Mayweather wants to play it down is because he still wants that pay day, in 10 years from now when the fan boys have disappeared from both sides people will ask just as much about Pacquiao refusing to fight on the grounds of not wanting stronger testing just as much as anything.

To me it seems like the people obsessed with Mayweather are looking for another stick to beat him with now they know their hero got knocked out.

To be fair, I think it works both ways. There are ridiculous Pacman fans saying stuff like JMM stood on Pac's foot or that JMM is obviously on PEDs, and that's why when someone makes an actual unbiased thread but looks less favourabley on one of the people, the other ones fans jump up.

    Pacquiao
    DLH - RTD8
    Hatton - KO2
    Cotto - TKO12

    Mayweather
    DLH - SD
    Hatton - KO10
    Cotto - UD

Is any of this relevent? NO! So why are you compairing Pac's performance against Marquez' to May's performance?

    Of course.

Look, not a ton of people were thrilled for this fight because they thought one of a few things:

    * It will be tactical but not thrilling
    * JMM is just too damn old
    * Pac will win, either by KO or judges' gift

NOBODY thought it would be a war that JMM would win by clean KO. No one.

Now, the public knows that the next fight will be a war, and JMM could win again, by KO!

The 5th fight is going to be gigantic. Off the charts.

    Mayweather is irrelevant now. Irrelevant.

You'll see what I'm saying soon enough.

I can understand what you mean about getting these 2 together in the ring again (which BTW makes no sense to me) from a financial standpoint. But any true supporter of Pacquaiao would either want him to get one more farewell fight (against maybe Bradley, Paulie M. ... you know someone who probaly wouldnt hurt him) or retire.

Simple bait-and-switch, or red herring, argument. It's irrelevant, but it's a common rhetorical tactic. Usually when one doesn't have a better argument.

Sure, you -- Mr Don't Sleep -- are the True Judge of who is and is not a 'true supporter.'

Honestly, I hope you guys are getting paid, and paid well, to post this stuff. I really do. If not, I feel bad for you.
