Like Rocky Marciano, he got even deadlier when he got knocked down.

This is not the first time JMM gets knocked down, brutalized and comes back decisively.

What a ****ing great mexican warrior. :smoke

Juan Manuel Márquez Méndez (born August 23, 1973) is a Mexican professional boxer and the current WBO light-welterweight champion. He is the 1st Mexican-born boxer to become a four-division world champion, winning seven world titles in five different boxing weight classes

Nah. Duran. Monzon, Ortiz, Gavilan, Rodriguez, Napoles, among others all rate over him clearly. Top 5 Mexican I wouldn't argue, though. I have him grouped with Chavez, Saldivar, Olivares, and Sanchez (ahead of his two contemporaries also).

Seems when he gets knocked down the guy who tries to finish him always gets ****ed up.
No idea how he does it but by the time hes standing hes ready to throw those pin point counters.

I think Jones, Oscar, Pernell are pretty close. Jones' resume was questionable where as oscars was phenomenal but had controversial losses and wins which kind of fuked him out of it. But the talent of both of those guys only come around once in a blue moon.
But Marquez? Pac? JMM just had Pac's number but after him I don't recall any career defining fights, except the one he was embarrassed in by Floyd. Yea there was a weight difference but even if Floyd was in Marquez's class he still would've made him look silly. And as for Floyd, he barely beat a way past prime oscar, in his most motivated-to-win fight ever!

I do not think JMM should give Pac a rematch if there isn't a claus for it in the contract. He was fuked out of the last fight so really beat him twice in a row. Move on or retire. Retiring would be the mack move for JMM. What an awesome way to go out!
