Cards as of the stoppage in Pacquiao vs. Marquez IV

Just what my eyes observed. I'm not going to start counting punches for you IB. I thought Pac touched up Marquez plenty in the 4th round. More than enough for Marquez's last rally of clean shots to equalize the round. The 1st just seemed to be a round that Pac edged but not a lot happened.

I had it 48-45 Pacquiao.

Pac was actually the more dominant fighter imo before getting ktfo. Aggressive, good head movement, good faints, etc... When he broke Marquez nose, I figured if it kept going like this Marquez was only going to last 2 or 3 more rounds.

Just rewatched the fight for the first time, two rounds were closer than I remember. Apologies

Pacquiao was ahead but it doesnt matter. What mattered was that Pacquaio was starting to take over, he was busting Marquez up and was on the verge of getting a stoppage win when the punch he didnt see landed.

There should be fight #5 and there probably will be, however I have a bad feeling that Pacquaio will learn from this fight not to be reckless, which means that he will not attack as fiearsly and the fight will again be a controversial point victory for one or the other.

 

Gave Pac every round minus the one's he was knocked down in. Most dominating performance by him out of all 4 fights, ironically.

 

I had Pacquaio by one, and had him winning the sixth.

Ironically, this time I think he may of been tactically superior to Marquez.

 

ROUND 1 - Marquez.
ROUND 2 - Pacquiao.
ROUND 3 - 10-8 Marquez.
ROUND 4 - Pacquiao
ROUND 5 - 10-9 Pacquiao
ROUND 6 - I had Pacquiao winning that round until he got KO'd.

 

I scored this the same way.

I'm surprised people think R1 & R4 were more for Marquez than R2.

In R1, Marquez was just too inactive and it seemed he gave up the round to ascertain Pac's timing.

In R4, a lot of Marquez's shots were blocked on Pac's arms.

Pacquiao was on his way to a big win. Marquez fairly inactive lucky to edge Rd4

 

pac won 1, 2, 5 and is on his way to win 6 if not for the stoppage.
jmm won 3 and 4 so in effect i had the same card as the judges.
