Marquez trained for this one punch...He knew it was ko or nothing else... http://youtu.be/fIEM-QiNt6I
he's trained for that punch his whole life...not just for PAC. Anytime he has faced a southpaw Juan has used that punch as the counter or "answer" to a straight left. it was a thing of beauty.
Nice! Hopefully the Pacquio fanatics will realize that drugs dont make you a counter puncher or a knockout artist.... accuracy and timing do!
Steroids don't hurt though.. Especially when your a good counter puncher and your accuracy and timing are great! :deal
If you are a real Pac fan, accept defeat like a real man, like he did! he got KTFO and made no excuses. Take a que from your hero.
Let's be fair....All the PED accusations that were thrown at PAC were believed by those who pointed towards PAC's KO's at higher weights as "PROOF" that PAC was doping. It's silly as **** but that seems to be the trend these days in this sport.
From a boxer who has ATG skills, HOF ring IQ and is considered as one of the best counter punchers in history it is strange he must rely on 1 KO punch to get one win in 4 attempts ... this just shows how overall good PAC is ... by loosing one battle from 4 just because of one single sneaky KO punch.
Maybe he was, maybe h wasn't. The point is both Mayweather and marquez were willing to undergo testing to fight Pac. Team Pacquiao for whatever reason didn't want to. If they felt he was cheating, they should have cancelled the fight. He tried to get fancy with a seasoned ATG and got clipped, it happens! It's like his hardcore fans are making excuses when Pacman himsef is at peace witrh the loss. You guys are going to drive yourself crazy worrying about PED use!
Saw that before the fight and was immediately reminded of it.. Kudos to his sparring partner for trying to mimic the Pac combination so well and getting dropped for his efforts.
... but PAC knocked down Marquez in 5th, broke his nose and was outboxing him for most of the 5th and 6th round, not bad fighting against someone who has pure ATG boxing skills, such high ring IQ and generalship. Otherwise Marquez was the one who rely on one punch KO to get a single win.
Exactly. Many people, including myself, thought Marquez was on the verge of getting stopped from round 6 till that punch came. Marquez was badly hurt from a hook in the 5th where it almost looked like he might be taken out. The cuts and broken nose would have exhausted him as the fight progressed if that punch didn't land. It was a desperate, gutsy and willful Marquez that eventually landed that punch to end it.
