Two-division champion Arturo “Thunder” Gatti and five-time world champion Virgil “Quicksilver” Hill lead the IBHOF Class of 2013, both being inducted in their first year of eligibility. They are joined by two-time light flyweight champion Myung-Woo Yuh in the modern category. “Let’s get it on,” referee Mills Lane, ring announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr. and manager Arturo “Cuyo” Hernandez will be inducted as non-participants, while cartoonist Ted Carroll and journalist Colin Hart join the IBHOF as observers. Joe Coburn rounds out the Class of 2013 in the pioneer category.

Honestly... Gatti... Amazingly entertaining, but did nothing of any real note. Who did he beat to get in?

It's not just about that though mate, Gatti had 2 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year awards, a Comeback of the Year award and a Knockout of The Year award. He helped turn a lot of people on to boxing with the Ward fights as well. Anytime there's a 'What Fights Made You Become A Fan of Boxing' thread on here there's a huge number of people who say Gatti v Ward. He might not have been an elite talent, but the guy held 2 world titles and gave the fans a crazy amount of memorable moments.

You have to wear a wig in the USA. Congress is full of them.

Let us not go too over the top. Gatti was fun and exciting, but arguable both former foes Ward and Robinson were more exciting. And that is just amongst those who he fought...

And? It's not just about your in ring achievements, it's about what you did for the sport and Gatti did a ****ing insane amount for boxing. Like I said, him and Ward were responsible for turning a huge amount of people onto the sport. I kind of disagree with him getting in on the first ballot, and I think if he hadn't died he wouldn't have got in straight away, but I don't have a problem with him being in there. He was involved in many great fights and had an unbelievable following in his day. Guys like Gatti don't come around very often.
