With the knowledge of them going into it, which was the bigger surprise? Remember that up to the KO, Jones rarely if ever had been legitimately hurt; only Lou Del Valle scored a flash knockdown. Pac has been knocked out when he was climbing up the rankings, but survived huge punchers and bigger men than himself - all on championship level - for nearly a decade without ever being in the danger of getting stopped.

    Which left you more surprised?

    Jones.

Pacquaio was hearldeded as an ATG.

Jones had fans swearing blind that he was the GOAT.

Jones verses Tarver beyond a shaddow of a doubt. why? because JMM and Pac were both very close in terms of skills and they were essentially the same calibre of fighters, the same can't be said about Jones and Tarver.

Easily the Pac KO was the biggest surprise.
With Jones Jr. There was alot of people saying it was only a matter of time.
(When it happened I was one of the dudes saying "See I told you")
^When it happened in the Johnson fight tho I was heartbroken, but still enjoyed it.

Manny was to this point never even close to being dropped besides against JMM.
Everyone just assumed Manny's chin was solid and oh ****!!! Juan jackpot'd 'em.

Does the term "Hatton'd" now become Something with a PAC theme???

Manny Pacquiao didnt have that same aura that Jones Jr had in his prime. Jones KO was way more shocking. Manny was always there to be hit. Jones up to that point was the perfect boxer. Forget losing a fight, the man never lost a round.

Yup. Everyone just naturally expected Jones to right the wrong in the 2nd fight. Most blamed his quick loss in weight from HW as the reason he looked bad in the first one. This guy seldom lost rounds. Heck, seldom got hit let alone get hurt or KOed.

I disagree on the Jones thing...
The writing was defo on the wall that he might have had a vulnerable chin.

He was dropped a couple times against fighters who shouldn't have been able to exploit his chin. Sure he came back but that opened up some eyes as to "What happened IF Jones gets tagged by a puncher" type ****.

    Didn't Troy Waters drop Jones?

    No :huh

Roy had previously suffered one flash knockdown against Lou De Valle.

Im gonna go with Pac vs Marquez.... if just slightly. Maybe its because so much time has passed, idk. But to me, that was the most shocking fight Ive ever seen.

    1 - Marquez / Pac
    2 - Tarver / Jones
3 - Martinez / Wililams (Probably more to do with my sadness of seeing Williams KO'd like that then anything.... ruined my night for sure)

not sure what other fights truly shocked shocked me... as in surreal moments, like those three.

It was most certainly Tarver Vs Jones. Jones looked somewhat human for the first time ever against tarver in the first fight, but No one would have ever expected milk dud to spark him out in the second one.

Hatton. Knockdowns and even TKO's are one thing, but to be dropped so violently was something else.
