I wonder if he didn't trip and didn't create that extra momentum into the shot if he would've been just stunned and able to recover.

Very painful to watch. Poochiao is one of those fighters I didn't want to see KTFOed.

Video clearly shows Marquez did not step on his foot.

He fell into a right counter.

    murderous.

I wreckon if he wasn't so dedicated moving in with that jab he would have got knocked down but got up from it... (watch how MArquez's sparring partner fell)

Marquez's couldn't have thrown that punch at a better time....

either way as I pointed out in an earlier thread Marquez pulled the same punch in rd 5 at 1.30

Manny didnt adjust so that punch was going to get him again at some point no matter what aslong as Marquez was still standing in the fact the whole fight was a classic it was a KO waiting to happen for either fighter JMM got their first

Keep your hands up at all times, before he even initiated the pawing jab his left was down, and he was thinking of coming in with a big left but marquez countered it. Foot stepping doesn't make you come in with a pawing jab and setting up a left while having it down, then lunging forward with your favorite punch, maquez fought u 3 times already, he knows your pawing jab followed by the left, u ****ed up

if anything Pac stepped on maquez trying to lung forward when marquez was flat footed ready to counter, because pac was getting over excited.

Correction: it seems as though Pac fell into a juiced up right hand.

Correction: a juiced up Pac fell into a juiced up right hand.

The juice is neutralized in this leveled playing field. Now it's a matter of skill and ring IQ.

Why are you guys arguing about the foot? The punch KTFO Pacquiao, not the foot. He didn't not get up because of Marquez' foot.

I would say that it was Marquez who stood at this foot, their feet were in standing position
then Marquez foot went slightly up, at this time PAC lost his balance so that is
clear it was Marquez who was standing on PAC's foot not otherwise.

PAC was falling down while his right foot was standing in the same position
he was definitely affected by punch but the real damage was caused by
his head hitting the canvas, this is when he blacked out.
The reason he hit his face on the canvas could be from combination of hard
punch with additional off balance due to Marquez stopping on his foot.

The punch alone was not exceptionally strong, more surprising with additional
surprise coming of the foot blocking, and final damage done by face hitting on the canvas.

Marquez anticipated Pac's left, got his foot in position first and landed a perfect counter.

That's boxing. Beating your opponent with quicker feet to get into the better firing position then throwing your shot. It's all about TIMING. this is what neutralizes speed, TIMING!!!!

Reminds me of the Pac-Hatton fight. JMM just threw that punch in there hoping for a connect and it ended up perfect.

That force in the mat was just as scary. Pac can take a punch, that impact on the mat probably put him on dreamland.

Pac is always lunging, falling, and leaning forward
