I agree with your card IB. In fact I scored it exactly the same way.

The first two rounds could have gone either way, Marquez did just a tad better in round 1, Pacquiao a tad better in round 2, but its justifiable both rounds could have been scored even.
    Round 1 Marquez

    Round 2 Pacquiao

    Round 3 10-8 Marquez

    Round 4 clear to Marquez

    Round 5 10-8 Pacquiao

Round 6 For nearly 2 minutes of round 6, Pacquiao rode the wave from having hurt Marquez the previous round. HBO commentated that Marquez had gone flat footed as he had'nt recovered from the previous round.

At about the midpoint of round 6, I did'nt see it that way that Marquez was still feeling the effects of the previous round. Marquez in this round was sitting on his right hand and even when he missed with it, he'd dig a hook to Pacquiao's body.
For those of you who did'nt notice, Marquez turned in a masterclass of thudding shots to Pacquiao's body of both left hooks and straight rights to the gut.
Marquez actually got the better of the exchanges in the last minute of the round up until about the 10 second mark where Pacquiao caught Marquez with a shot flush that Marquez wanted to immediately retaliate against.
Marquez somewhat off balanced chased Pacquiao to the ropes, Pacquiao retreating, and when it looked like Pacquiao was about to loadup to throw leather, Marquez backtracked, Pacquiao chased and threw out a lazy type of jab, and then BOOM fight over!!!!

My point is that even that 6th round was shaped close, Marquez having gotten the better of the last minute of it, but yeah, I was about to tally up the round to Pacquiao when that short right hand landed short and sweet! :D

In terms or round by round competiveness, because of Marquez' mindset to counter Pacquiao with KO seeking power, this was round by round the closest most competitive fight of the 4.

Marquez turning the power on opens of the door for Pacquiao to compete and take rounds from Marquez.
I had hoped Marquez would'nt fall into that trap and open the avenue for Pacquiao to get a legitamate win by letting dishonest judges dictate how he should fight.

Marquez mindset however was that he wanted his hand raised in the ring and not just by the true boxing fan!

Marquez disposed of Pacquiao at his own power punching game.
4 for 4! End of Story!!!!

Alot of people unfortunately only give Marquez rounds he clearly dominated.
Rounds that are close that maybe Marquez did a little better in than Pacquiao, most people including the judges side with the more popular name.

This 4th fight was pretty much an even fight had the bell rung after the 6th, yet every judge would have had Pacquiao 4 rounds to 2, and BOZO's like Harold Lederman would have had Marquez at that point just about needing a KO to win the fight.
To have Marquez only taking the round he scored a knockdown in the 3rd, is inexcusable. But its this type of a scoring mindset that kept Pacquiao's close on the cards in the previous fights.

It does upset me that there are people that gave Marquez only the 3rd, when he clearly won the 4th and the first 2 rounds were fought virtually even up.
Its just upsetting to see a fighter like Marquez disrespected like that. :-(

The last two minutes of round 5 were straight up war.

You can see after the KD in round 5, Pac gets stunned a good 3 or 4 times by JMM right hands. Anyone who didn't see the result coming (espesh after the hard as hell KD in the 3rd)... I dunno... I kinda question. The idea of a "lucky punch" is the opposite in this case. This punch was so planned and thrown with purpose, it should be criminal.

Pacquiao should have won the first round, IMO. I had it 47-46 Pacquiao

I though every round was clear, with the 1st being the only real close one.

    1, 2, and 5 for Pac
    3 and 4 for JMM

There was nothing clear about the 4th round for Marquez. I'll rewatch it again, which proves my point entirely. I scored the 2nd and 3rd fight for Marquez rather confidently I might add. I get a sense people want to vindicate Marquez by scoring more generously for him just because he got the bad end of two previous decisions against Pac.

I had it 47-46 for Pacquiao

    Round 1. Pacquiao 10-9

    Round 2. Pacquiao 10-9

    Round 3. Marquez 10-8

    Round 4. Marquez 10-9

    Round 5 . Pacquiao 10-8

Round 6 was going to Pacquiao until the devastating KO.

The first 2 rounds were very close so I might change my mind once I rewatch it.

Alright re-watched Round 4 and Marquez edged it. Still stand by it being a close round. I have to say I think all three judges got it right and did a good job with the 6 rounds they had judge. Nothing to be upset about in terms of their scores.

    47-46 Pacquiao

For me Pacquiao took the 1st, 2nd, and 5th, while Marquez obviously took the 3rd and 4th.

I had it the same as most people here, 47-46 Pac, with Pac about to win the 6th before getting KO'd.

    10-9 Pac
    10-9 Pac
    8-10 Marquez
    9-10 Marquez
    10-8 Pac

1st round was pretty close, but I felt Pac landed more and was more aggressive. I haven't re-watched it yet (and I don't think I can for now ) but I think it's one of those rounds where if you watched it again or in slow motion (i know, i know) you'd see that Pac landed a lot more than is obvious at 1st.
