It would've been ok if Pac lost a close decision but a brutal ko pushed the fight back by 3 fights if it goes successfully for Pac.

    1) If Floyd vs Pac gets made then obviously Floyd will not get credit for the win.

    2) Manny will have to look goodl for a couple of fights to convince the public that Pac has recovered mentally.

    3) Rematch Marquez and get his revenge.

If he doesn't, the fight will go up in smoke. There is no way Pac getting an equal split now coming off two losses.

The only way for Pac to bounce right back to the top is if Pac takes a lot less money to fight Floyd and beat him obviously.

This fight almost looked appealing again for a few minutes during the 5th and 6th rounds.

I think it did. After re-watching the Bradley fight, I was having doubts Manny could use his lateral footwork to set anything up against Mayweather he wouldn't eventually dissect with accurate straight shots at long range. But those early rounds had Manny looking better than he has in a long time. Floyd isn't likely to knock him out in the same fashion, so the question becomes whether he can deal with the mobility, perpetual motion, and hand-speed of Pacquiao's power-punches early, and how he adjusts later. To me the fight became more attractive than it looked a year ago.

i think Pac have the ability to perform at that level still but over the years, he became more defensive minded as well.

    Pros and Cons
The Pac who fights like 5 and 6 is in beast mode but the cons is he is only for a lot of shots that he will not see coming but his mind would be focusing on Pure Offense.

    JUST took a huge hit?
this fight needed to made 3 years ago when both guys were tearing through the divisions, and still at their best.
Not when one is aging before our eyes, and the other is semi-retired and going to prison.

You realize you're talking about the same person, right? Floyd's two years older than Manny and is far less active than Manny.

Manny's style heavily relies on attributes that fade with age.
Floyd not so much, his technique and pure boxing skill mean he will suffer less through aging, as he can compensate or adapt because of his skill.

Pac can't. The things that made him so good are fading, and nobody can beat aging.

Is that why he got ktfo by a 40 year old Marquez?

This is true. A tiny bit more caution, and you have the best version of Manny. It's how he fought so well in the Cotto fight for example. Perpetual motion, side to side set-ups of the left hand, counters and feints with the right hook, defensive head movement with his hands up.
