Hagler vs. Hearns, Castillo vs. Corrales, Arguello vs. Pryor. Benn vs. Barkley. When people start to watch boxing it is usually the straight forward fights which get them interested. Showing them Pernell Whitaker might not get them too interested.

    bowe - holyfield 1:

great displays of inside and range fighting by both men, unbeliavable skill from both, very fast pace and good stamina from both men, lots of punches landed by both men, and the 10th round.

Gatti vs Ward 1. Flawed fighters with great hearts and action oriented styles.

Nelson vs Gomez is one of my favorites....Tis is the only fight that my wife (She hates boxing) knows by name and she occasionally talks about the knock out .

Duran v DeJesus II & Gomez v Pintor, (Hagler/Hearns - Reg Gutteridge Commentary ONLY) for the violence.

Benitez/Hearns for a pure boxing masterclass.

If one wants to see great boxing, then I'd go with Duran-Barkley, but if it's blood and guts between two fighters, Gatti-Ward, and many others that have been mentioned would certainly do the trick. But the reason I like Duran-Barkley so much was because Duran had nothing but his boxing skills going for him. He was older, shorter, naturally lighter, and yet he still found a way to win. Now that's boxing.
