Neither fighter has ducked the other fighter. Although I think the 2nd fight should have happened sooner but Marquez felt he deserved more money which he got in the end and the 3rd fight should have happened at 135 lbs as when the 3rd fight happened not many even thought it would be competitive. I would watch the 5th fight but would rather they fought the likes of Bradley, Matthysse, Garcia and Khan. I think if the 5th fight happened it would be a close competitive fight leading to a 6th fight as it will be another debatable decision.
What are you talking about. many believe pacman lost 2 and 3 that's why he gave him another chance to settle the score. now the score has been settled. This content is protected This content is protected
Sure. The fact that Marquez is still "down" in the series has to leave a sour taste in his mouth, Nacho's, and the fans'. May as well knot it up officially at 2-2-1. Going for a tiebreaker sixth would probably be pushing it, as nobody is going to want to pay expensive PPV fees to see Pacquiao lose a fourth time in a row. (thrice to the same guy)
Not a maths major, huh? :yep Pac is still "ahead" in the series, 2-1-1. That isn't a settled score. Especially seeing as many believe Marquez deserved the nod in both losses and the draw (cue the peanut gallery to rehash the scoring error - which shouldn't have mattered, as it should have been comfortable for Marquez even without it) - I'd say the score is far from settled. It will be settled when they are tied up or with Marquez ahead overall.
What are you talking about? Many believed PAC won 2 out of the 3 if not all 3 of those fights with Juan. The fights were ALL very close before this past weekend and even in that one the winner had to come from behind to get the KO victory.
Yes, many Filipinos and many people who are excited by Pacquiao's style but don't actually know much about boxing.
Yes it should happen but not the very next fight. Marquez needs to capitalize fast on his new improved physique and either unify belts at LWW (Garcia) or get belt at WW (Bradley). Don't think he should fight Floyd anytime soon. PAC should redeem himself probably targeting Bradley next or someone else.
I know a lot about boxing. I've boxed for years...have an AM background and have real ring experience. I thought PAC won 2 out of the 4 fights...I feel Juan grabbed the other 2....the last one especially. And there are a lot of experts and analyst who are just as split as the fans on who have won the 1st 3 fights between these two. All have been competitive and close.
Pretty risky, considering Bradley is in the thick of his prime while Pacquiao is on a steep and consistent decline...and only squeaked by Bradley 115-113 on my card the first time...before getting his brain shaken up by Marquez... Redemption would be a safer bet going with someone else.
Just to give you a clue ... all refs from three previous fights and the last fight gave more rounds to PAC ... this should give you an objective (vs your subjective biased towards Mexican fighter) overview about the successful styles and unbiased skill in boxing. Its not like Marquez style /skill is much worse but he is not much better for sure. both of them have their place in history and both of them belongs to top something at ATG list, saying that preferring one of the styles their represent shows lack of the knowledge about boxing is plain ignorant or that you are just plain nuthugger
You are not? Then why do you have Barrera and the other guy from Albuquerqe in your avatar? .... I would say if you are from New Mexico then its amazing you speak English so fluently
:blood I'm 100% gringo, and from the East Coast. MAB and Tapia happen to be among my all-time favorites. So does Marquez. That doesn't preclude me from being objective in scoring, however. I had already filled in the 6th as a 10-9 for Pacquiao before the KO, and would have then had it a draw with Pacquiao gaining momentum and seeming on his way to a legitimate decision (for the first time) or late knockout.
