    Hmm, a bit unnecessary. Tyson seems like a decent lad, I feel bad for him getting constant flak from all directions, he doesn't deserve it.

    Am I right in thinking you have some gypsy heritage? If so obviously you have reasons for your belief but I disagree. Racial slurs are based on relevant historical prejudice which is why no insult based around a white persons skin will ever equal the n word. Gypsies (not sure if thats an offensive term) have not faced the kind of persecution in recent years for the word gyppo to have the same connotations as other racial insults.

    That said people would not be laughing it off if someone was tweeting Khan calling him a curry muncher or Froch a ****. Actually its ESB so they probably would be. For the record I have no problem with racial slurs.
    :lol::lol:

    Did he really say travellers rule sports? Apart from within boxing and I assume hurling I have never heard of a travellers sportsman.

    For ESB thats polite. We aren't talking Roma Gypsy here though (I don't think many Joyces saw Auschwitz) we are talking about Irish travellers and the connotations of the word gyppo.

    You did reference Skills though, and he isn't from Irish traveler stock.

    Regardless, the OPs mate obviously has far too much time on his hands....if he has something to say he should say it to the mans face or shut the **** up in my opinion. Twitter appears to have the ability to turn men into little silly girls.

    I have no idea about skills background I just have some memory from an ancient thread from when I first joined. I'm really not explaining my point well but to simplify it some racial slurs have less impact than others based on the historical prejudice associated. IMO the word "gyppo" whilst offensive doesn't have nearly the same amount of relevant historical prejudice compared to other racial slurs for asians, blacks etc in the UK. For the record I did mention that if he'd done the equivalent to someone of asian/black ancestry it would be treated differently. In no small part due to the medias portrayal of gypsies particularly over the last few years. I do agree with the last part. Fury should know better than to respond to twitter abuse though.

    Anyway this is absolute lounge chat,

    England invented slavery, a hundred years ago you auctioned black people on the docks, took 500 of a carabian island, threw 60% in the sea that dident survive the journey, Irish travelers are the result of cromwell, god curse his bones, who took ireland of the farmers, along with there small holdings, saying thay had to pay rent to live on there own land, some couldent afford this and became disposessed, so whenever or whatever they do that makes you not like them now, is ****all to what your ancesters done to make them deeply dispise and have no respect for you's AT ALL.

    His twitter account wouldn't exactly debunk that concept.
