I don't buy into the whole coach stuff. I have never seen fighters transform like that because some new coach came in, never, in any sport. Your body will only get like that because you lift a ton of weights, it is that simple, you don't have to do anything special, lift a lot and do some cardio to shed the fat. It's possible that JMM did do a lot of weight lifting, more than ever before since he knew he had the technical part down for fighting Pac and now. As for slight gains, his body looked more muscular and more ripped, and it was quite noticeable, I wouldn't call it slight at all. It may not be roids but what's funny is that, in JMM's case, body wise, there's actually a reason people would think he could be roiding, but when you look at Pac, he NEVER had such a transformation.
The funny thing is we clearly saw JMM was doing stone-age things to prepare for Floyd, throwing rocks and drinking ****.. Dude gets on a real program and some can't accept any improvements.. Yet if Pac doesn't do his special Ariza workouts or whatever it's clearly the reason he lost.. ESB
That's EXACTLY what Heredia was doing with him. Haven't you been following the build up to the fight? Using a fighter's physique as 'proof' of PEDs is a little asinine, but since you brought it up. Katsidis fight at 135: This content is protected Pacquiao 4 @ 147: This content is protected This content is protected Very slightly more defined, slightly bigger biceps, that's about it. Where are these massive gains you're talking about? He's finally filled out at the weight and it took a long time. There's 3 years + between those pictures. If you don't believe the gains displayed here can be made naturally with intensive weight training, you're an idiot. When JMM starts looking like this, get back to me: This content is protected This content is protected :-(
This whole PEDs thing is getting ridiculous. It's not just JMM, Pac or Floyd. It's systemic. It's in all sports. If you're going to point fingers, point it at boxing not just one fighter. I call Manny PEDcquiao because I truly believe his accomplishments are synthetic. If everybody is on PEDs then, then what's the problem? Then it becomes whose body is able to take advantage of chemicals the best. That's far different than who is the best boxer. As I see it, JMM fought fire with fire and he showed that intelligence and patience wins out. JMM has always been a smarter boxer than Pacquiao by a wide margin.
Your physique isn't always an indication of PED use anyway. If before the Ruiz fight someone had said that Toney was juicing people would have laughed, but he was. In pro sports today I'd me more surprised to find out that someone was genuinely clean.
You can't say he was on something for sure as hasn't been caught. You can't say he wasn't either as hiring that coach looks shady. But if he's on it so are the rest.
Come on people..if you're a fan then at the very least you should be suspicious. Steroid use is rampant, and if you really care about the sport you would be demanding better testing for these kind of fights so these discussions wouldn't even exist! You can't logically conclude that no, he is absolutely not on anything. Best case scenario for anyone with a brain should be "I hope not".
These guys like Heredia, Arzia, Conte - their job is to tell athletes what to take and when to take it and to get them to beat the tests. I've seen an interview with Conte were brags about Marion Jones and Tim Montgomerie taking 200 drug tests between them whilst taking PES's on a daily basis and never failing once. Bare in mind that the tests Jones and Mongomery were subjected to are randon, far more stringent and far more effective than any drug testing a boxer has to take.
Well, I can't definitively state that there is not an invisible incorporeal unicorn living inside my ******* because there are no tests sufficiently precise to detect invisible, incorporeal unicorns. Nonetheless I am comfortable with using a stronger proposition than "I hope not" when asked if I believe that there is an invisible, incorporeal unicorn living in my *******.
I have no problem with people being suspicious of Marquez. However, the mainstream media has been totally inconsistent. I see a lot of mainstream media outlets raising suspicion. However, when Pacquiao was going up multitple divisions, looking shredded, maintaining his speed and power, and knocking people out, the mainstream media roasted anyone who raised suspicion. The fact that he had never failed any tests was enough. Well, how many tests has Marquez failed? Regardless, I saw a poll up on ESPN where they actually asked if Marqeuz is on PEDs.
If that was true you would not be so in awe of JMMs physique. You think gaining 4lb of muscle in a over 4 month training camp at 39 is only doable with PEDs .... yes i am sure you are a physical marvel.
I believe the first kd was a looping shot that manny didn't see and it caught him flush... I could be wrong, but thats how i remember the replays of it.
