I'm cool with Guerrero. It is one of the five best fights out there for Floyd @ WW. I don't think he's the walk in the park some seem to. I too think it'd make for an entertaining one.

Everything on paper makes sense for Guerrero.

Age: 29 (30 by the next time he fights)
    Southpaw
    5'8" height
    70" reach
    31-1-1, 28 KO's
Wins over: Berto, Aydin, Katsidis, Klassen, Litzau, Honorio, Abazi, Diaz II

It'll probably be Guerrero or Bradley, but I really hope it's Canelo.

He's also Floyd's WBC mandatory and Money could get stripped off his belt if he keeps avoiding him

So that's another good excuse to make this easy match instead of the matches the fans actually want to see

LOL 100% - Floyd looks at Guerrero style, sees he has the better reach, is the stronger guy and whose defense is suspect and primed for Floyd's quick jabs and counters

But people are praising the match-up? Fact is the only fight worth taking now that Pacquiao is not in the picture (like he ever was with Floyd!) is Martinez at 154 but he'll never do that. Maybe even Canelo at 154...

Anyway, look forward to another Mayweather fight with a well chosen opponent

Fans nor Mayweather give a **** about the belt.

It would be an excuse, but a better one would be; "List better options at WW."

I wonder if he'll take the path of least resistance for this fight

Now that Canelo/Cotto has lost it's luster, a Mayweather mega-hyped fight makes sense for that weekend. The fight must be winnable and against a guy with a Hispanic surname, so Guerrero it is.

Look for folks to get swept up by the 24/7 and start saying this is a good fight.

No realistic chance of winning? Check

I honestly dont mind if it is Guerrero or Canelo does not matter to me. Both are very good fighters(Canelo might develop as Great fighter at future) but Floyd is GREAT fighter that is why I dont get too excited about these fights.
Guerrero will get beaten bad, Canelo might make it interesting due to his size and youth. Both of them are credible opponents for sure but Floyd will beat them rather convincingly.

I just wish Floyd would take the biggest challenge out there and give it a go against Sergio after his next or second next fight. Fuk that would be something, former featherweight taking the middleweight king.
