Using a fighter's physique as 'proof' of PEDs is a little asinine, but since it's been brought up.

Very slightly more defined, slightly bigger biceps, that's about it. Where are these massive gains people are talking about? He's finally filled out at the weight and it took a long time. There's 3 years + between those pictures.

If you don't believe the gains displayed here can be made naturally with intensive weight training, you're an idiot.

When JMM starts looking like this, get back to me:

    That's all you've got?

When you specifically train for power for 4 months solid, power is what you'll get.

so you can train power now eh??? wow.

I think the angle pac ended up in caused the blow to even more effective than if he was hit front on.

When pacman seemingly carried his power up thru the higher divisions *****s said steroids....... boots on the other foot and *****s say its all down to hard work and dedication eh? okay. whatever turns you on romeo:hey

So pac is on peds and JMM aint??

Who's mentioning Pacquiao? I've always said he was clean anyway. Fact is, many fighters have done it. And yes, you can train for power. JMM spent 4 months lifting weights. He's never done that before in his career. That's why he was slow as **** during the fight. His entire focus for training camp and the fight was power. Just like he said, wasn't going to leave it to the judges, was going for the KO.

Look at those pictures above and tell me you couldn't make those slight gains with 4 and a half months intensive training with a strenght coach that knows what he's doing. All this talk of his looking like the Hulk is absolute nonsense, his body has barely changed.

Absolutely. He weighed the same as their 3rd fight. His physique did not change drastically. He put on a couple pounds of lean muscle, while shedding a couple pounds of fat/water. That is not impressive, difficult or extraordinary, especially when he trained differently for the first time with weights, and had an educated and experienced coach to guide him. His age has nothing to do with it. People make changes like that all the time. Elite athletes included. Body composition changes on a small man, who was already in good physical condition can look bigger than they actually are. Even in big men it can look drastic...bodybuilders look bigger at contest time, when they've actually cut a lot of weight. It's illusion. This isn't a hard concept to grasp....much like the fact that sport specific training can aid your performance in that particular sport. You cannot rule out PEDs, since it is not uncommon in high level sport, and he was motivated to the point of obsession, and he's from a country where it is legal, and had a known PED expert in camp. But, those changes he displayed are NOT as big as people are making out. Easily done with training differently, proper nutrition, dedication and effort. It is pretty much common knowledge in strength and physique training that if you hit a plateau, you need to change things up to push your body through it, since the body adapts to the same repetetive training techniques, and progress can stagnate. It is only logical to assume that a change in training style like JMM did could easily have delivered the observed changes in his physique, which again, were not really that big. PEDs? Possible. Results from dedication and effort? Highly probable.
