I wonder what kind of offer it would take to get Ricky here on HBO to fight Broner. From a style perspective I'm really intrested in seeing Broner's Shoulder roll deal with a world class jab and foot work. A few people who I respect have told me Broner would have a problem with Burns.

Is that why Ricky has been so anxious to sign for the past year+?

The difference in speed and power between the two is going to be ridiculous.

I cant believe Ring put Broner n5 on the p4p rankings. He's been falsely pushed amongst the elite to raise his stalk. Total hype job, Its laughable. They better hope he turns out to be the real deal because he was only put there on the assumption that he was going to eventually deserve to be there anyway!

If this fights made it's a hard fight for both. Burns wont play into Broners hands like Demarco. This is actually a great stylistic matchup no matter what the Boner bum boy's say. I think it'll go to the cards!

As for Burns ducking Broner. They all know its not true! trolls gona troll!

Well people also said Broner - Demarco was a 50-50 fight and it was the most anticipated fight of November. Broner washed him. That's what makes it incredible, taking good fighters and just outclassing them. You don't think Burns is a good fighter? You don't feel he has an educated jab and good foot work? As I said before I think it's a good style match up.

The difference between "good" and (near)elite can be vast.

To me, Demarco is obviously a good fighter(for all that meant against Broner). I would still pick Demarco over Burns. But they are both just not on the same level as Broner.

That's an excellent and well balanced post Ring Master.:good
Most Burns fans know it might just be too big of an ask but we still want to see it happen.
Nice to see someone post with some panache without resorting to childish nonsense.Full respect.
As for the jab,I trained at the same gym as Ricky before his trainer got his own place, and even though Ricky was nowhere near being a star back then, his jab is still the best I've ever see in a gym.Even on the bag it was like a spear and I knew regardless of how far Ricky got, that jab was a bit special.

I wish you would accept that most of us knew that Broner was heading for the elite even before DeMarco, and Ricky is a guy who came from nowhere when he grabbed a fight he was supposed to lose by the balls.
Broner is a potential ATG.Ricky is a surprise package who has become the most improved fighter in Europe.
The fact he's even looking at fighting Broner at the top of an HBO bill is remarkable when you see where Ricky was in the first half of 09.
I do think Ricky would have a great chance of beating DeMarco though.

Much in the same way that Don King has been marginalised in the US, we're seeing the same type of thing happen with Frank ****** in the UK with Brook and Bellew jumping ship to go with Eddie Hearn at Matchroom with their exclusive Sky TV deal and also DeGale who's now with Mick Hennessy.

If Burns needs to demand that ****** makes the fight with Broner so that the fight does happen or jump ship to Eddie Hearn like Brook and Bellew.

Who couldn't see this coming? Broner would embarrass Ricky.

FW Promotions are trying to refuse refunds for Saturday, which might not please Ricky as he cares about fans,so the Jan fight may raise the issue of reduced prices for fans who've been shafted for Saturday and could be down to contractual obligations.
But why would some of the comedian posters here let a genuine issue like that get in the way of having some "fun"?
Maybe Ricky should take the Feb date for nothing, with only his belt on the line.I mean he's only a genuine world champion. Not as if he should get any favours when Broner desperately needs an opponent.

If it 's such a mismatch, why are you so desperate to see it happen?
How old are you if you don't mind me asking? If you're older than 12(which means I've guessed wrong) why don't you post a pic of yourself that best reflects your "love" and knowledge of boxing?
Obviously,if you're under 16 it's best you don't post it,but if you're older than your level of posting suggests, post the pic and I'll do the same.
You suggested earlier you have a superior knowledge and ability to predict the future, so post your fave boxing related pic of yourself and I'll do the same.
And none of you hitting a little bag with your Disney Princess costume on.:nono

    <--------- oh they mad.

I really hope Burns just says **** it and waits until Feb to fight Broner. He'll get the biggest payday of his life no doubt. p4p #5 is worth at least half a mil for an opponent

I figure at least 600K. Same as Demarco.
