Look, I dont give a **** about all the bull**** politics behind Boxing, and I am not buying every story I read about why a fight did or didnt get made. Some of it is truth and some of it is not. As a fan I want to see the best fights but I know that is not going to happen. If you want to believe that there is or was no other career path Floyd Mayweather could have taken then fair play to you for believing that bull****. I believe there were times when fights could have been made and should have been made but weren't. I cant blame Floyd for taking the path of least resistance at times in his career but I dont have to like it. :hi:
Isn't Alvarez scheduled to fight on the same night. If it's not against Floyd then will GBP want this. If so will one be on HBO and the other showtime. Unless they fight each other one is going to have to agree to fight on another date
That is what I was trying to figure out too. GBP is not going to compete against themselves. One will have to move or fight each other. I guess the one with the better dancing partner will keep the date. For Floydie it will be Guerrero (since he is too ***** to fight Martinez) and Canelo it will be Cotto (since he is too ***** to fight Trout or Martinez). It's a no brainer, Cotto/Canelo would annihilate Guerrero/Floyd $$$$ wise.
Cinco de Mayo weekend should do good numbers for a Alvarez v Cotto fight.Mexico v Pr. They can still sell it even though cotto lost. But has Cotto agreed to it?
Aint nobody sleeping on Robert, he just is out of his league at 147 and especially against Floyd. I'd say Mike Jones would be Guerrero easily, and this is a man KO'd by Bailey. Devon beats Guerrero, Tim beat Guerrero, hell Maidana beats Guerrero. Even Manny would beat Guerrero. Ortiz as well. I'd say Josesito Lopez beats Guerrero.
Cuz Floydie was to ***** to accept the fight at 154, a weight he is champion at. Martinez has to showcase infront of his people just like many other boxers do, like Marquez, Canelo have done in the past.
