Great Steve Collins US radio interview last week - 'Roy Jones is a coward!'

Before I click, did he actually say "Roy Jones is a coward.", or is that another one of your little white lies?

Steve Collins is bitter. Hes full of crap tbh. Roy Jones is no coward and was not scared of fighting Steve Collins. He fought at least 10 fighters on par with or better than Collins.

 

Gimme a transcript, Atberry. I ain't about to listen to Steve Collins for 36 mins.

 

Collins was laughing as he said it (asking for a fight with Roy now). I think he did use the word "coward" but more tongue in cheek. Basically saying he did everything he could to get a fight with Roy including calling to his hosue and calling him out in the ring in Florida on live tv. Said he felt Roy knew that he had chin issues and if Collins got to his chin he could stop him. I don't think it was as if he just came on to call him a coward just said he wished the fight would have happened and blames Roy for it not happening.

 

Same guy who collapsed in sparring before facing Calzaghe then said that's the sign to go back into retirement even though scans apprantly found nothing now this. Guy should look closer to home before calling anyone a coward..

I like Steve as well but i think he likes the fact he never faced Roy. That way he can say he would of won etc.

Steve's a funny guy. Just because a scan doesn't show anything wrong, does not mean that there isn't an issue. He did the right thing listening to his body.

 

I liked watching Steve Copllins fight but as mentioned earlier, if your arse falls out at the prospect of facing light fisted Calzaghe, then you're not really in a position to label someone a coward. Not when that someone has fought some absolute beasts.

 

I really doubt he was scared of Joe.

 

I really doubt Roy was scared of Steve.
