    I dont know about travellers, but if you extend to gipsies, there are/was a ton of pro footballers. Just come to my head. Ibrahimovic, Pirlo, Jesus Navas, Gica Hagi, Stoichkov, Güiza, and I´m forgetting hundreds.

    sorry im 25 yrs out, and i said selling black people on the docks , not when slavery of blkack people started, and if it wasent the english ? please enlighten me. Also i would like to know were these red and blond travelers come from ? . and for your information i have relatives who carry the name of people who fought the saxons sevaral hundred yrs ago, they are travelers in england and ireland and usa now, they definatly wasent then.

    Yep i'm Romani, The word is a slur on our ethinic group so totally disagree with your point tbh. It's not about comparing how bad words are to other words, The fact the word is used as a slur on our people and it shouldn't be happily flung out there as a cuss when you can't do same to other races/ethnicity. We ain't all white either which i'm not sure if that's what you meant in this post and even so no racial slur should be accepted whether it be from a black man to a white man.

    For the record hundreds of thousands of our people were killed in the holocaust. Were entitled to be proud of our people and not be willing to accept being called names which are used to undermine our people.

    Sure. Here's a hint, Ancient Rome had slaves, Ancient Greece had slaves, Ancient China had slaves. A little bit before the slave trade you're referring to eh?

    Oh and the Barbary Slave Trade which was the enslavement of around 1 million white Europeans by North African raiders also predates the transatlantic slave trade.

    Try reading a book once in a while.
