I still like the Pacquaio fight too, but I think Pacquaio needs some time to assess himself. We don't know how he'll come back from this.
Yup...remember Cotto-Mayweather not being made back in the day when everybody was calling for it? Then Cotto leaves TR a few years later and bam...couple days later, the fight is signed, sealed, and delivered. Just like that. Mayweather may have come up with some excuses here and there to not fight Pacquiao, but I think those reasons were due to him not wanting to deal with Arum, unfortunately. If Pacquiao was a free-agent or with somebody like DiBella or Goossen, I bet they would've fought a couple years back.
I honestly think Mayweather-Alvarez will come off in September, 2013 and will of course still do huge PPV #'s, but the match that will be for May 4, 2013 will more than likely be Mayweather-Gurerro. And call me crazy on this but with that fight happening on cinco de mayo weekend of 2013 the added feature attraction to it could possibly be Alvarez-Cotto. Now true while these two were originally scheduled to fight each other in a highly anticipated main event PPV showdown for May 4 Cotto's loss to A.Trout naturally took some of the luster of that fight from either happening altogether or from it commanding a huge PPV audience on its own to be a main eventer and while Alvarez-Cotto alone could still do somewhere between 850.000 to almost 1 million ppv #'s it would probably do better as a co-main eventer to the Mayweather-Gurerro fight, based mostly on Cotto's recent and convincing loss.
It makes more sense... But: Cinco de Mayo > Independence Day For a super-fight. Both lucrative dates, but May is better.
:thinkDude, what's with the pic? Do you honestly have that much free time on your hands during the day that you get to come up with some fake/fabricated items such as this? And were you the one who took those snap shots of Oscar in fishnets and heels? Tell the truth now!
People need to chill. You figure this would be big news and yet no one is even reporting on it. Don't set yourselves up for disappointment.
