this is true. floyd does better numbers on cinco de mayo.

oscar-2.4 mill ppv buys, cotto-1.5 mill ppv buys, and mosley-1.4 mill ppv buys.

ortiz 1.25 mill ppv buys and jmm 1.05 ppv buys on mexican independence day.

    Those are ridiculous ****ing numbers.

Floyd averages over 1.0 per event even including his first three before De La Hoya. His per PPV rate is as high as Mike Tyson's.

And when it becomes clear he's not fighting Canelo in May, what'll you say?

    - "Canelo was too young, inexperienced, and never fought anyone to get the big one against Floyd"..?

Floyd blatantly ducking the welterweight champ Timothy "Desert Storm" Bradley. He ran Floyd to a division he shouldn't even be fighting at.

Most of us would like him to fight Alvarez.

This will be a great fight as Mayweather has lost a step already, and in 2013, he'll be further offf his prime.

Mayweather did not fare too well against Cotto's 'come forward' style.

But Canelo is still developing as a fighter.

I will like to see the Canelo vs Trout/Martinez fight happen. Canelo vs Martinez will allow Martinez to get used to 154lbs if he beats Canelo.

So for May, I'd prefer Mayweather vs Bradley

Definitely. And it would make all the sense, except Canelo being few divisions bigger.
Any other, legit reason for Floyd to not make the fight with him?

Not a good fight for Floyd coming off a long layoff.. He might get Pacquiao'd.

I do not believe this fight is going to happen.

Floyd will not take this big a risk.

Remember how we were hearing that a Martinez - Floyd fight was close to being signed?

This will be the same bull****.

    LOL.

I doubt it. Not unless Canelo is hooking up with Angel Hernandez. I know you hate Pacquaio, but you got to admit you were shocked that it went down that way.

You got to be suspicious of Marquez.

but martinez was dominating guys in his own weight division.

in floyd mind, he's probably thinking canelo is an easy fight since he's not fighting legit 154 guys.
