Louis had that super quick and deadly straight right and thats the punch to hit Holmes with. I see Holmes boxing throwing that jab while Louis sets him up for his bread and butter punch. Round 8 a lightning right over Holmes jab floors him. Louis follow up combos end the fight. Louis right was the best in boxing history and Holmes was too open for this blow.

His straight right was rated as the best by Fleischer in his book 50 years at ringside. You can't have massive holes in your defense and expect Louis not to take advantage. Louis right was trip hammer fast and he followed it with deadly 5-6 punch combinations.

Joe beats Larry, Joe will catch Larry at some point and put him down, if Larry gets up Louis will finish him unless Larry goes into run mode and even then Joe might knock him out

MY first instinct would be to pick holmes. He had the style needed to trouble louis and was better than anyone that louis fought, prime or post-prime. I could see holmes gradually wearing him down with the jab and occassional right hand.

With louis, however, you never know. He could poosible land a right that would put holmes down for the count.
