Wow! I'm surprised how much support Carlos Molina is getting from U.K fans on twitter

Froch always refers to himself as 'the cobra' in jest, imo, hes got a dry sense of humour which i find hilarious.

The difference between Froch and Khan is: Froch is genuinely intelligent and Khan isnt.

I dont hate Khan but referring to yourself in third person is such an annoying habit. I blame Hatton.

:rofl My mate -- who's Pak!stani incidentally -- said the same thing. He said it's boring hating on someone who you know will probably get knocked out anyway.

Explain to me how he had so much support from the uk as a 17 year old at te Olympics then, unless he was white back then? Was he? I'm not sure? Oh no wait he was a humble, nice ****stani kid who was cheered on by the entire country. It has NOTHING to do with his race, it's the fact that since then he's turned into an arrogant ***** who rates himself as some kind of p4p great and refuses to accept blame for his shortcomings. Stop using the race card, makes you look like a moron

I don't really know how you could hate Khan for the **** he says and stuff. Really, who cares? He's a boxer, he's probably saying most of it to convince himself. I know he doesn't always back it up but at least he tries to. Give me Khan calling himself world class and failing when he tries to reach that level over Cleverly doing the same but not even attempting to get there any day.

In all honesty I just think the guy isn't a very good public speaker, there's a fine line, a VERY fine line between sounding like a cocky ***** or a confident champion and Amir hasn't figured it out yet.

You would surely think Golden Boy would of hooked up a good PR guy for him (he needs one)

Funny thing is as well, with the right personality outside the ring and his warrior spirit inside the ring he could actually be very popular.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, he's one of the bravest fighters i've ever seen in the ring.

Gets tagged and just says **** it let's bang it out! what's not to like about that?

The guy's so crazy he'd probably get in there with a prime Julian Jackson and have a tear up.

Come to think of it, Amir is actually loveably stupid

So many **** houses on this forum and thread.

Its pathetic the way, people try and hide behind the whole..."He's arrogant excuse"

You bunch of **** bags, just be real with yourselves.

    Closet racists.

**** houses the whole lot of you.

In this country people are conditioned, to be institutionally racists towards Asians/Muslims.

And its a two way thing, Muslims are also conditioned to be institutionally racist.

Amir Khan just so happens to be a young successful, athlete, business man! Who is of ****stani origin a and he is a Muslim.

Just deal with it, don't be a bunch of **** bags.

Hard to say, but, I think he was taking the **** when he said that. This is the same interview where he talked about his stolen bike, right? Anybody got a clip of it?

Edit: :rofl:rofl:lol::lol: Ok, I've found it, and I think he was tryna' be serious:

Yeah, that's what it is. He's stuck between trying to be what the public wants him to be (with rehearsed words) and his natural self. The end result is a confused, contradictory boy who'll put his foot in his mouth every now and then.

As for his in-ring actions. It's a mixture of being stupid, brave and lacking certain abilities.

Maybe its Khan's ignorant fans that put everyone off him.

Its weird with Khan, I dont disslike him and actually quite like him when you see clips of him watchin the football with his family like an average joe, but I do secretly find it funny when he gets beat...

why do the majority of asians (on here for example) follow/support/back Amir Khan more passionetley than say Hatton? racism works both ways

Are any of those Asian Khan fans hating Ricky because of his skin colour? No, they’re just supporting Khan more passionately because he’s the only one out of their ethnic make-up that’s become a successful athlete. It’s no different to Latinos in the US being followers of Mexican or Puerto Rican fighters. That's not racism. It’s pretty normal to root for someone who shares the same culture/background as you and want them to succeed. But what isn’t normal, is hating a person for their skin colour or background. That’s totally different. And as I’ve mentioned, those Khan fans aren’t hating Ricky for his skin colour. In fact, Khan fans in general don’t hate Ricky at all.

Probably because they can relate to him. The same reason working class people from Manchester like Hatton.

Supporting someone who is similar to you is not comparable to disliking someone for being different.
