Wow! I'm surprised how much support Carlos Molina is getting from U.K fans on twitter

Why am I sorely mistaken? It was certainly one of the reasons that Naz jacked it in at 28 years old, I know that for an absolute fact. The truth of the matter is that since 9/11 the view of muslims in this country has taken a nose dive....I can't remember the level of hate and nonsense we see today regarding muslims being around pre 9/11. Khan was cheered to the rafters in winning his silver in the olympics, but it all changed after he turned pro in July 2005....why do you think that was?

 Given the context thats actually a hilarious statement

I don't think it's "racism" for an asian to strongly support Khan. Just as it isn't racism if whites were less interested. Khan isn't British. At least not in a way. (i.e. ethnic.) If that has an impact on level of support then big deal. Fighters don't have any automatic right for people to like them. Obviously black fighters etc. can be very popular in the UK with white fans.

They are not supporting Molina they are supporting anyone that fights against Khan. The problem isn't that Khan doesn't get support, its that he is disliked and hated.

No what's pathetic is hiding behind the whole 'you just don't like him because he's ****stani' excuse because you don't want to admit khan is an arrogant *****. Why did the whole country support and cheer him on in the Olympics if the reason we all hate him is because he's ****stani? he was ****stani back then aswell miraculously, but his character has changed hence the lack of support. Stop trying to make a racist minority seem as though they represent the feelings of everyone

Compare with Audley. He went from very popular to pantomime villain.

Inflated ego, big promises, but without the ability to back up the talk... it pissed off the Brit fans.

Yeah I just don't like te fact some people are trying to make out the only reason to hate Kahn is that he's ****stani, it's ludicrous.

I'm bored if this thread now. Spiralled out of control. Who gives a ****? Some people like Khan, some don't (for a variety of reasons). Leave it now.

Oh dear. Here's a tip: I'm not trying to come across as an "anti-racist". I'm trying to show you the hypocrisy at play, and, in the case of the original person I was responding to, the stupidity of seeing hate of an ethnic group and religion as being down to a "conspiracy".

Your attempts to minimise the racial (more correctly, cultural) issue I brought up in my last post is disgusting.

People should just look in the mirror and at least admit to themselves why they dislike Khan. I freely admit that I don't like Price because he's a mongy headed Scouser (no offence), I know that its lame and in reality its only one step away from hating Khan because he's got ****stani heritage
