2 hypothesis :

Barrera is not the kind of guy to go crazy when someone gets KOed bad, because he's seen too much of it. I'm kind of like that.

or he didn't like seeing Marquez achieve what he couldn't, which is also understandable.

No Jyuza, the scores for JMM-MAB were really wide, even if Nady had ruled the knockdown proper, MAB still would have come up well short on the cards

MAB was the sentimental favorite going in and there no real reason for the judges to have judged dishonestly in favor of Marquez.

I've watched the fight a few times and though competitive, the reason Marquez was is because he was initiating (aggression), plus he was closing the exchanges countering MAB's jabs and hooks.
Add to that Marquez was landing cleaner and harder shots.

MAB did well with the jab, the problem however is that Marquez was countering over it with power shots.

It goes to show you just how versatile a fighter Marquez really is.
He knew going into the MAB fight that he could'nt afford to make it an uneventful X's and O's type of fight with MAB because Marco would be able to compete more in that type of fight than Manny Pacquiao.

Team Marquez surveyed the situation beforehand, and even Nacho Beristain had voiced that Marquez would have to play the role of the aggressor or sentimentality would rule the night.

For anyone that wants to rewatch the fight look for yourself. Marquez is the aggressor almost throughout, and its MAB fighting off the backfoot.
The in this fight being that MAB playing the role of the counterpuncher, it was Marquez who was closing the exchanges countering MAB.
