If you think Pacquiao won every round in this fight then there's nothing to debate about here. I'm certainly not going to waist my time debating rounds which most *******s here even feel Marquez won, and I'm talking rounds 3 and 4 in which Marquez landed heavy to both head and the body.

Marquez never stopped fighting even in round 5 where he was hurt, and round 6 where Pacquiao was riding the momentum of round 5.

The last minute or so of round 5 the shift in momentum began to change again to Marquez. If you dont see that, then you need to take your rose colored glasses off.

I just looked at round 6 again. Its far from a round Pacquiao dominated.
Both fighters landed some good shots, I have the edge to Pacquiao going for the close of it, but it was not a one sided round, in fact tha pace was slowed somewhat in round 6 as round 5 had fatigued both fighters.

Take a look. In previous fights Marquez would counter in series of 3's to 5's. In this here fight he was loading up his shots more and firing less in series.
He was seeking KO, he trained as he said, "to be explosive."
Explosive is what we got from Marquez! :deal

Round 6 is two way action, it was not all Pacquiao up to the KO, check for yourself here it is......

    That's what I meant, Joe.

Nobody wins every single second of every round.

I meant that if the round had ended at 2:59, it would have been Pac's.

Which ever *******s made that comment was 100% correct. Manny was winning that round without a doubt before the last second came with the right hand from Juan that. Changed the entire fight. Juan was eating a steady serving of left hands that round......

There was a great 2 punch combo, upper cut to the body followed by a straight right that JMM landed that was beautiful mid way through that last round, but outside of that, 2:59 was pretty much all Manny.

Sheiit. Pacquiao - Marquez could be the only fights where people argue about whoever won whichever round even when there is no point in arguing like the fourth fight.

Very interesting. You thought Pac earned more of a share of the fourth than the first? :think

To me the 1st was the close one due to equally little done by each.

The 4th, you can really observe that right hand homing in looking to exacerbate the damage from the knockdown.

    1, 2, 5 - Pac
    3,4 - JMM

47-46 Pac and leading the 6th comfortably. Couldn't believe he was able to continue after the kd in the 3rd. That was like a videogame punch. My favorite fight of the four due to the nature of the action, although it was pretty surreal seeing Pac taking an involuntary nap. He looked like a sleeping puppy. He's lucky to have avoided getting clotheslined on the bottom rope.

Yep, because the first at least to me was all JMM. He dictated the tempo of that round, while in the fourth, he had a good start, but Pacquiao did good enough to even things up in the last minute something of that round. No problem if you gave Marquez the round, to me it was a very close one.

didnt pac step on marquez foot, just prior to marquez losing his balance and touching the canvas with his glove.?

I had it 47-46 for Pac, he was clearly winning the 6th. I do not think there is much dispute that it was within 1point either way until the stoppage (unless you are a complete *******)

That explanation has actually been used at various times by members of both cheering sections - to explain all three knockdowns!

Nobody hit the deck uncontroversially. Clearly the 5th needs a contractual stipulation that each pair of shoes be equipped with a touch-activated alarm that lights up with multi-colored strobe and emits a high-pitched squeal so the ref knows when to not rule a knockdown due to toe-stepping.

In fact, this should be implemented by every commission anytime there's a southpaw vs. orthodox summit. :bart
