Yeah, I'm actually rooting for Nagy on the basis of walking out to this.

Or at least rooting for him to break the mold and escape the 1st.

 

Too bad. No Philly fighter would ever go out like as much of a ***** as Peczeli did.

He looked like he was about to start blubbering afterward.

I just assume everyone always is.

 

Round 1

Gardiner jabs the much smaller Nagy into a corner, pinning him there. Nagy crouches low and presses his back into the ropes, buying some extra space to slip away. Gardiner keeps stalking, left hand dangling down by his knee as he jabs at Nagy's head. Nagy keeps his gloves up, tightly pointed together with knuckles almost touching under his chin, elbows out. Gardiner calmly walks in pushing up-jabs and sweeping out with measuring left hooks. Nagy circles around and collapses into Gardiner from the side while digging a left hook to the hip. Gardiner jabs at him and lands, but Nagy blocks the next one by quickly lifting his left knee. This isn't K1 World Max, Attila! Gardiner walks him to the ropes. Big jabs and overhand rights! Nagy is covering up, getting smacked on the sides and top of the head. Nagy skips backward, away from harm. Gardiner jabs him into the next set of ropes. Nagy survives to the bell.
